In the latest episode of Beyond The Pitch, Kristian Jack sits down for an exclusive one-on-one interview with Canadian Men’s National Team and Portuguese Primeira Liga club FC Porto Midfielder Stephen Eustáquio, only days ahead of the CONCACAF Nations League match vs. Curaçao as the CANMNT prepare for their first World Cup Finals appearance since 1986.

The pair discuss Stephen’s career, with notable stops in Mexico and Europe, what it means to him to play for Canada, THAT goal in the Iceteca, and what he thinks it will take for the CANMNT to make some noise in Qatar.

  1. I was always confused if he was a 6, 8 or 10. It was funny that he was just as perplexed. I call him a 6 that plays like a 10…sort of. Modern game I suppose. If he goes anywhere it should definitely be Spain.

  2. He's a true difference maker. What a player. What a person. I've ordered my Eustaquio Jersey. What are you waiting for?

  3. My 8 year old son met Stephen in Vancouver last week. He was very gentle, kind, patient, and engaging to him and all the kids. A great role model.

  4. Muito boa entrevista. Vê-se claramente que este rapaz é inteligente, o que é sempre uma vantagem entre as quatro linhas. Força grande Eustáquio. Estiveste muito bem no último sábado.
