I think Ramsdale was not brought in to Win the Title for Arsenal. Rather he was brought in as an upgrade to Leno.

What people don't comment on enough re: Arteta is not only his ability to motivate and influence the players but also the board. To get them to buy a potential first-choice goalkeeper when we've already got Ramsdale (who we almost won the league with last season) and have spent so much already this window… That's a huge ask. He must be extremely convincing behind the scenes as well as with the players. Incredible management all round.

Arsenal don’t need a new defender. Backline is our most depth. Point of Timber was incase a starter got injured; no difference if the injured player is timber. Zinny can start soon and I actually think Kiwior is a very very good player at LB orCB. Defensively solid while technically almost as technical as Havertz & Saliba.

if we think about it, Matt Turner is gone to Nottingham Forest, so Arteta needed to sign another goalkeeper.. Imagine if Arteta just sign a goalkeeper who has lower reputation and ability than Ramsdale.. for example with all due respect to him, someone like Fraser Foster at Spurs, who most of Spurs fans can tell you that he did not do a good enough job to replace Lloris.. then, Arteta and Edu will also get critics.. So, whether Arteta signed Raya or not, he will always get critics..
Arteta has mistreated Tierney for a long time now.
