The reality is Southgate has done better than any England manager in my lifetime at least. He is safe.
To take off Bellingham when he is currently the best player in Spain was mind blowing
To start with McGuire and Henderson and to give them 90 minutes was mind blowing
To play Madison on the left wing was mind blowing
To not start with Foden was mind blowing
To keep Tomori on the bench and to play McGuire instead of him was mind blowing
To have Pickford in Goal was mind blowing

At last, someone telling the way it is. Gareth Southgate, in my opinion is bereft of ideas. For the first twenty minutes of the game against Ukraine, we had over 90% possession. Tenty two passes at one time and we hadn't moved forward an inch. Henderson? OUT and goodbye. McGuire? OUT and goodbye. Pickering? Hmm! Keep him, but on the bench. Etc., etc. Thank you for airing your beliefs so honestly.

Henderson and maguire starting I couldn't believe it
As bad as DT is making Southgate out to be, he has a better win percentage than all England managers except Sam Allardyce (who was in charge for 1 game) and Fabio Capello (66,7%). Southgate´s win % is 61,6%. Alf Ramsey is 61,1%.
Before being promoted to the head of the national team, he was the manager of the U21´s. His win % there was 73%…
You can have subjective opinions of the style of play and if his teams should have performed better in tournaments (Euros and the world's), but his stats with the national team set ups is pretty impressive at face value.

Unless he wins this nxt tournament his tenure will be regarded as a disappointment with the players and resource behind England the only thing lacking is the tactical side and desicion making which in my mind have been woeful Southgate seems to grab defeat out of the jaws of victory he's so defensive minded that he's not utilising the fantastic forwards we have we don't have good enough defenders to play that way we should play to our strengths which are going forward someone needs to remind of this
