could play him left back
Don’t think Aguerd would want to leave. He’s doing well in the best league in the world.
Missed y’all last week. Great analysis on the aguerd rumor
Can’t turn down silly money
+ he’s off to play Africa, cup of nations
We shall see
£80m+ please thanks Saudi
I like Aguerd. I want him to stay because I like him. He looks nice.
The assessment of Aguerd is pretty reasonable. He is fast and good on the ball but the physical side of his game requires refinement. If he stays the coaches can work on his limitations. It is the same issue we had with Benrahma and Fornals.
For now we just play him with a minder like Zouma or Ogbonna. If we are offered big money, and he wants to go, take it. Good central defenders can be found. The only caveat is Zouma will get an injury and Ogbonna is geting on. We need two defenders who could in principle play every week and two who could play half the remaining games. Any less cover than that and we could end up short handed.
In reality this probably isn't going anywhere. The amount of money it would require to get him to move would probably exceed what they would pay.
the bottomless pits of monies are ruining ,if not already ruined , our beloved game of football.
Apparently, a Saudi club have offered Man Utd a Camel to get Maguire in on loan… !!!!
They can have that useless Aguerd
Probably the most misinformed video I've evvwr watched
G, I know you WANTED to say Saudi offers are flying like an out-swinging JWP corner! Seriously, until we’re backed by owners who’ll spend limitless amounts then EVERY player has a price! This is good business (selling high should be the focus,) but makes Tim Steiden’s and Mark Noble’s successful efforts all the more crucial.
I am a huge aguerd fan and west ham fan so that speaks for itself 😅
If I was Liverpool, I would consider selling because he is 31 but class, I think it’s all about the Transfer window, how it’s closed they won’t sell because they can’t buy, also it’s according to if the player wants to stay
Would be happy with ageurd leaving January 1 for 80+ million, only if we have lined up a replacement for same day signing Why? AFCON. One less player affected.
If he wants to go i’d take £90m. He’s got a few mistakes in him. Then Buy Tal in Jan. Don’t forget we still have Cress and Johnson if the other 4 get injured & Alvarez could even fill in
Spotrac lists Nayef's current salary as £50k per week (towards the lower end – Zouma £120k, Ings £125k).
Pretty sure I remember reading aguerd had a release clause of £65 mil
A mixed message vid hypothetically subject to formal bid, WHUFC just say no really.
I believe Aguerd has said no, so far. He's enjoying his time here. Couple of years on, who knows….perhaps. Think we needed a left back and right back to back up emerson and coufal. With mavrapanos, aguerd and Kehrer, I think we can afford to sell oggy or zouma for big money though! 🙂
Surely the FA and PL can append the current PL rules that says that PL teams cannot buy or SELL/LOAN any players outside the PL transfer window to ANY league (domestic or foreign?) unless they are on a free, negating this lopsided overlap that has the potential to weaken the league? I can't find the answer to this, but given each league has it's own window dates, there must be some flexibility to create your own rules within FIFAs criteria?
Totally agree with you as usual. Plus we will be losing him for the AFCON anyway, so we could probably get by until January.
When will you be posting my two shirts to Gibraltar please, contacted you twice now via website, but no reply??
Agree with you Geo – Stick a silly price on him. Put a 'Newcastle' or 'Man City' premium on him by jacking up Aguerd's fee unrealistically.
I don't want him to leave but £150m + is silly money that the club could do a lot with, including being able to bring in a player of the same level of ability.
Don't agree that I'd keep Zouma over Aguerd. Aguerd is younger and Zouma is too injury prone for my liking.
