  1. I think you need to add to this great video the actual move from the top of your backswing along with a transitional move is that your right hand, right wrist, right forearm and right shoulder external rotation are all moving in a CLOCKWISE, not counter-clockwise direction. That is the missing piece that amateurs just don't get and have a hard time with because it will be unnatural and awkward to them i.e. golf. Once they get that hand path dropping behind them and moving clockwise, it will actually make the elbow automatic, shaft lean automatic, shallowing automatic. Then it's just a matter of Sasho MacKenzie's allowing the center of mass of the club move below the hand path and then squaring the face. Moe Norman has a video where he shows the club in front of him, hands on the club, with the right arm well below the left arm, and surprisingly, the left hand above the right hand. You'd say how can anyone hit a golf ball with that move; hit with the back of the club head? But carry that move and feel up to the top and then back to that Moe Norman in front of you then back again, and pretty soon you feel the arc of the hand path and the correct clockwise motion starting the downswing, elbow automatically to the side and leading, shallowing automatic, dropping the center of mass then and squaring gives automatic shaft lean. Without that feel to get things started properly, amateurs miss the point of some really good videos. Once I found this secret to a pros swing from mine, it made a huge difference in every shot I take. Huge. Just trying to help and have people move forward and not waste 40 years of their golfing career, as I did, working on the wrong things

  3. Excellent suggestions and demonstrations Alistair on hitting the ball better. I like your "rope attached to the club head" drill to practice keeping the club behind the hands in the downswing. I also liked your unique forward press by dragging the clubhead back suggestion in order to get the wrists involved early in the swing. All very useful information Alistair in how the wrists, arms, and body should all work together in the golf swing. Well Done!
