It is not obvious the players want Berhalter. If they know they are gonna be stuck with him anyway because the USSF powers that be are hanging on like a tick in a dog's ear, they aren't gonna make waves.
Lalas is being disingenuous because he obviously knows how organizations work given his experience int he MLS. The minute they hired the 3rd party investigators it was obvious that they wanted Gregg back because they would not go through the time and expense if they were just going to move on to another person. Fox has the rights to the 2026 world cup so has to play cheerleader which means Lalas needs to toe the party line or face the consequences . Nothing against Lalas, BTW, it's just how things are done.
Maybe you should talk to normal US Soccer fans because GGG has been a major hindrance to our performance for years. Third in WC Qualifying!!! And you want him back. Unbelievable!!!
