What is the problem with this? We need the money to buy players, 20M for an injured player is not bad business. I think people are living in fantasy land expecting to make big signings with little or no income

Release clause would let him go or he could stay with 50-60% salary reduction from what I’ve heard. Sorry, I wouldn’t work my same job for 50-60% less pay next year if I can go somewhere else and be paid my regular salary. Loyalty is great until it hits your bank account.

He’s been a total professional the entire time. Never gave leas than 100% while healthy. Can’t blame him for taking the opportunity to play in the EPL

Wait, don't clubs stop using players if they are not good enough? Don't they buy new better players if they have the money? It's just business is what I always hear. There is zero loyalty from clubs. Why should a footballer be any different, their careers don't actually last very long compared to other spots.
