  1. When i was watching it first, thought it wasnt even a foul. After watching the replays its a clear red. Went through isak, who would've been through otherwise

  2. Amazing how often this discussion comes up, but like all other sports (and the women's world cup) play the mic of the ref so we can understand their decision making. Would make their decisions less contentious

  3. I was shocked anyone argued differently on this one, well done ref on this incident.
I wanted to hear the recording afterwards to find out what Van Dijk said to the ref….

  4. Even as a Liverpool fan, I think that's a red card and I think most Reds would agree. But I'd be much more interested in hearing VAR over the controversial decisions – like Mac Allister's sending off, which should never ever have been a red.

There were also plenty of calls for Trent to be sent off (for throwing away the ball back to the pitch, and grabbing a Newcastle player's shoulder on the halfway line, lol)… yet nothing for 8-9 much more serious fouls doled out by Joel Linton.

Many clubs are angry about the standard of refereeing and VAR, and fans deserve answers.

  5. Its a good example of where VAR does it's job. But id love to see the mic'ed up version of the man city goal at the weekend versus fulham..

  6. How about the clear dive from Szoboszlai against Bournemouth? How the heck was that allowed and why was the ref not at least asked to look at the monitor?

  7. They always only show us the audio for decisions where most people agree, what about the absolute howlers that VAR makes, let us hear their reasoning for them!

  8. Why aren't they talking about the controversial decisions like the red card for forrest at old Trafford or maccallisters red at Anfield, we as fans need to know whats being said on VAR

  9. Why do they feel they need to sanitize everything first before releasing the audio, weeks later? in rugby its been live during the game and works with the commentary aswell.
    What are they hiding ?

  10. Need to see more of this post game. Will we get to see the previous week? The Mac Allister rescinded red and Tierney on VAR.

  11. They’ll just do this for the correct decisions just to tell us ‘yep you can see how spot on we were’. Show us what happens during the stinkers (plenty this season)
