I’m sick of the poor refereeing decisions so far this season to the point I may stop watching, it’s killing the integrity of the game it’s just becoming a shambles!
Why on Earth would you choose Michael Owen as the person for this? He lacks charisma and credibility which are seemingly what you need for this. Damn good Dubai Helicopter guide though.

Its like asking a racing car driver to trust someone in a room on a gamepad, to drive the car they are in
Fundamentally, its broken because of this fact
VAR only exists within TV football , and TV football is insignificant in comparison to the whole game
And its Awful because no one knows how to do it, even as a idea

After hearing the var audio I’m more confused how the pen wasn’t given 😂 literally everything they’re saying sounds like they believe it’s a foul but then just say “check over” out of nowhere ?? I give credit to Webb for at least but he can’t polish a turd. The refs just aren’t up to it. He has a task on his hands
VAR is a waste of time. What is right and what is wrong. It’s been around long enough officially to have adapted and evolve better from making these kind of mistakes still. It’s inexcusable I’m afraid.

is a pen not defined as a "clear and obvious denial of a goal scoring opportunity"? all parties in this video collectively agreed that the collision wouldnt affect the next phase of play and didnt involve players on the ball in the first place. why is this still centre of attention when there has been blatant controversy, since, in other matches, including a decision which was apparently "1000%" offside but still not given?

Every week when there are games, VAR gets it terribly wrong in certain games. If VAR officials got it wrong once or every to months, then it could be better, but they always get it wrong every week! When millions of people can see what is wrong, why can't the VAR officials?! The only thing I can see is corruption by the VAR officials. Senior officials need to check the VAR officials' bank accounts.
Var is supposed to help avoid these mistakes rather than double down on them.
the system is flawed and var is more concerned about "protecting the guy on the field" rather than getting the decisions right
It's clear the VAR was desperate not to give a penalty against the club he supported as a child. It's that simple.

What about each team gets one challenge per game in which the referee must review a decision on the screen. This would be without the ‘clear and obvious’ prefix, meaning the referee can adjust their decision as they see fit?
Wouldn’t fix all the issues but I think it may sort the really bad ones which only tend to happen every so often.

need replacement refs asap as anyone who has played even sunday league or 5-a-side football would see that as an obvious foul and penalty. inexcusable decision, again. best league, worst refs.
