Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Japan midfielder Wataru Endo from Stuttgart, subject to a work permit and international clearance.

The 30-year-old Japan international has signed a four-year contract which will keep him at Anfield until 2027, in a deal worth £16.2m.

Liverpool’s pursuit of Endo comes after unsuccessful attempts to sign Moises Caiceido and Romeo Lavia, both of whom have joined Chelsea.

  1. Great signing that can slot into right back if DM is taking time to settle for him and trent plays the 6 – he has taken the pressure off now
If we can avoid big injuries to key players we will have a say this year
Use the money saved for a 50 MIL CB and we can push through the Jan window in my humble LFC opinion 😂

  2. Being honest i never heard of him, not bothered about his age (30) as these days players peak around this age, his price was low, i hope he gets off to a good start, he will be judged on his work rate so if the Kop see him giving 100% then he will be fine, In his position it's all about being a solid, reliable and hard working team player, Milner became a LFC legend because he always gave his best and was always reliable. I hope Klopp can bring in more before the window shuts, we all know Jota will get injured, Thiago is an injury risk, Jones is pretty fragile so we are still thin and i fear Salah will leave in the next window if we aren't in a title race

  3. Top signing. Proper hard working graft of a player who is relentless and never injured. Captain of club and country says it all.

And hes so humble and gracious to be here. What more can you want? So happy we didnt get them other two money grabbing rats who twerked all over Todd Boehly for a 8 year contract

  4. I hope Jürgen chucks him in today. I reckon he will rank alongside Ali and Virge as Jürgen’s best signings. (Bobby, of course, was signed pre-Klopp)

  5. Good luck to Endo but we're nowhere near out of the woods. Smallest squad in prem but top earners? Wait til injuries hit (and they will) and reality of FSGs "great rebuild" sets in.

  6. Thats the problem. People look for the biggest price tag instead of finding the right piece for the current team. Just bcs a player goes for big money it doesnt mean its better business. I would say getting a character like endo for 19M is more impressive than buying a guy thats proven nothing and goes for 100M+. Good business is getting value not spending like a nutter😅

  7. Endo is solid. Japanese team’s captain. He has been underrated in the past and I am glad he is being recognized. I look forward to seeing more of him in the future.
