If Fab or Hendo leave to go and piss about in the desert, it will damage their legacy from my point of view. I wasn't happy losing Firmino, but I understood that, with him being told he will play less in future seasons (even though he's still our most effective No9) and his contract being up.
But losing our captin and our best remaining midfielder to oil money is taking the Micky. Jurgen needs to tell the pair of them they are still under contract and we can't be in a position where we lost them on top of everyone else that is leaving this window.
Losing Milner and Hendo in the same window is a huge mistake.
Letting Fabinho leave in the same window as Milner, Ox, Naby etc is another.
If it was my call (im glad its not 😂) neither of them would be leaving. They are too important. Hendo is one of the most successful captains we have EVER had. And Fabinho is STILL one of the best CDM's in the world. One bad season doesn't change that.
Im sorry too much change can be a bad thing. We need a strong start. You can go piss about in the desert next year.
Douglas Luiz from Villa could be an option.

If we move to a back 3, what does everyone think about moving both Trent and Robbo into the holding/defensive midfield roles? I think Robbo could do a propper job in there as a Volante with Trent as more of a Holding midfielder.

Fab will forever be talked out with high regard. Good luck to him. We need someone agile, strong and a great passer. Lavia does look like that.
Why are so many people against Fabinho and Henderson leaving? During the whole 2022-23 season everyone was complaining about the midfield, and now with midfield changes happening, people are complaining again. For me Lavia as Fabinho's replacement and Manu Kone as Henderson's replacement would be decent additions. Liverpool had the 3RD OLDEST TEAM in the EPL last season, so bringing down the average age is surely a must.

I am sad but 40m seems a pretty sweet deal. For Hendo, I am happy for him if he gets transfer but sad for us as this will leave a huge hole in the squad. Really need a quality signing
It's difficult situations. Some lfc staff members have noticed some players particularly Ally (guess no bobby/fab now) Thiago prob wanted and thought he was going to Saudi now in doubt. In ally families socially together. I know players have to get used too but difficult all the same. Worries me about instantly alot of pressure/expectations on Alexis/Dom. Whereas some players like robbo, fab etc got bedding in time.

Honestly big fan of Bajcetic, think he can slot into the 6 and do a proper job but not sure he can be relied on for a whole season. We need somebody he can learn from to make that step up. He’s very composed and technically brilliant for his age and imo has a very high ceiling

We should be in for Sangare he's perfect for us and ready to start now. He's 25y/o, 6f3", DM playing for PSV and available for around £30-35m. Defensively he's strong, physical and fast with an excellent motor and he's an excellent tackler, blocker, ball clearer and in the air. Offensively he's got good ball retention, great passer, good long passer and excellent progressive passer, excellent 1-on-1, and he's even got an eye for goal which he's successful at. We looked at him last season but decided we didn't need any midfielders… I PRAY we get him, for £30-35m he's incredible.

All respect to Fabhino 👍 once he saw the two new young talented midfielders that LFC signed up he realised that his game time would be drastically reduced, so unlike Hendo he got his Manager to handle his transfer LFC got their price and he got to join a team on his terms and will get more game time 👌a win win situation for everyone 👏🤗 no drama, no embarrassment and no I'll feelings, that's the way you exit a club that you respect and who stood by you through the good and bad time's 👌💯 go well Fabhino you served us well 👏YNWA💔😢 Hendo could do well to learn a thing or two about respect from you 😳

I disagree with the caicedo thing, if rice is worth 105 mil then caicedo is definitely worth 100… he was incredible last season! Was the best player on the pitch in 8/9 out of the 10 games I’ve watched him! Caicedo offers much more as well… can even do the Trent inverted RB position being 1 of only 2 players who made 50+ interceptions and 50+ chances created! While absolutely pocketing rashford/martinelli In the Rb position
Could Alexi Mac maybe play the 6 along with Trent in a box midfield? Szlob n curtis in front
Chris is the goat! Insightful, not too sentimental but understanding of players and how integral they've been for us. Also completely agree on Lavia, great prospect, but not a ready made Fab replacement atm.
