In my unschooled opinion, I would say that Nele Gilis has the most graceful, efficient, elegant footwork of any player I have seen.
Gilis's use of height in this match was notable. So many lobs! Must have been the gameplan, keep Mohamad from volleying. And I could see why, that backhand volley in particular was dynatime. Mohamed hits the ball very hard, that is a strong woman.

I actually think Mohamed played a pretty clean match. She's a bigger woman and her opponent is really zippy. Yes, the screaming wasn't great but she did her best to clear and make sure her powerful swings were safe. Not an Asal situation at all, IMO.

Fantastic grit from both! Lots of balls coming back I thought were gone, lots of fightbacks after falling behind. Love that mental strength, bodes well for both players.
Why are so many of the young Egyptian player lacking in basic manners? Is it a cultural thing?
Those who like to scream, show their non confidence. I knew Gilis would win. Players who are confident are usually quiet, and when they win a point, they don't need to resort to looking at opponents and screaming out. That's class.
Gilis is so damn tough, strong and persistent. Awesome stamina – superwoman is a good name for her lol
