England manager Gareth Southgate said that male leaders “have a huge responsibility” following the controversy surrounding Luis Rubiales, president of the Spanish Football Federation.
Rubiales refused to stand down following a controversial kiss with Spain’s Jennifer Hermoso after lifting the World Cup in Australia earlier this month.
Southgate was also quizzed on Mason Greenwood’s future and Jordan Henderson’s controversial move to Saudi Arabia.
Henderson has been included in England’s squad for the upcoming games against Ukraine and Scotland even though he plays for Saudi Pro-League side Al-Ettifaq.
Southgate said Greenwood was a ‘very complex case’ is not under consideration with England at the moment, after Manchester United chose to axe the striker this month.
