With regards to Sterling, Alan is onto it here. There’s more to that story. Sterling was always in the starting eleven before, even when he wasn’t performing. To not even be included in the squad now when he’s playing well??

Sterling decision is very personal. Cut the chase
Sterling not getting in is not a surprise, has had a few better games at the start of the season. Maguire and Phillips haven't played regular football since the start of LAST season, how can they be selected. On top of that, Henderson is getting too old and isn't playing/training at the required level anymore.
