Welcome to football today! Triple Arsenal exit on the horizon as Romano sheds light on departing stars
In the latest transfer news, Arsenal could see three players leaving the club in the near future, as reported by renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Despite a successful transfer window so far, with notable signings such as Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, and David Raya, the Gunners are now focused on offloading some of their unwanted players before the deadline.
According to Romano, two players are on the verge of departing, while a third player has attracted significant interest from other clubs.
Firstly, Nuno Tavares is set to join Nottingham Forest on loan, with the option for a permanent deal. Romano revealed that Arsenal will receive a loan fee of approximately £2m, along with a £12m buy option clause that is not mandatory. This move presents an opportunity for Tavares to showcase his skills at a new club, while also allowing Arsenal to make a profit on the player they acquired for £8m in 2021.
Additionally, Folarin Balogun is nearing an exit, as a deal has been agreed upon with AS Monaco. The transfer saga surrounding the Arsenal forward has been ongoing throughout the summer, but it seems that a final decision has now been reached. Romano confirmed that Balogun will officially sign for AS Monaco, with the medical completed earlier this week. Arsenal stands to receive a package worth €40m, including add-ons, and a sell-on clause.
Furthermore, there is a possibility of Rob Holding leaving Arsenal before the transfer window closes. While Luton Town and Besiktas have been linked with the defender, Mallorca has now entered the picture, according to Romano. Negotiations are ongoing, and Mallorca is attempting to find a suitable agreement for Holding’s transfer.
As the summer transfer window draws to a close, it appears that Arsenal will experience a flurry of activity in the coming days at the Emirates.
