“…After Stroud’s game-winning goal, though, UCLA’s Pietro Grassi took issue with Ulfarsson apparently talking to the Bruins’ goalie and pushed him over from behind, getting himself an immediate red card. Obviously an emotional game, especially for the Bruins as they stared down the final minutes of their season, the energy boiled over. For a while, the clock had to be stopped as players from both sides pushed at each other and refs and team captains stepped between to cool the tension.

“It’s part of the sport, and people are competitive. That’s why you play, because if you’re just straightforward and and you don’t have any emotion, you’re not going to get very far,” Kerr said of the game’s frenzied nature.

The crowd, equally as riled up as the players, didn’t sit for the rest of the game and applauded Ulfarsson as he walked off the field after junior Scotty Taylor subbed in for the final minutes. The last seconds left in the game slipped away, even as the Bruins desperately tried to overcome a two-man disadvantage to get an equalizer, and the cheers of Koskinen Stadium were probably heard around the whole city of Durham. ”

  1. You didn't show the precursor to this : the goalie time-wasting repeatedly when UCLA was up 1-0!!! Duke scored 2 quick goals, the Goalie got what he deserved and Duke won the game (:

  2. This video is not the whole story. The Goalie was being a total dick wasting playtime whole game when they gained lead. Goalie had it coming.

  3. You never retaliate in a blatant manner, instead all of your teammates make sure that guy gets a slide tackle from all of you, I would "accidently" lose the ball in front of him 50/50, if he goes for it slide tackle, if he doesn't run right at him and mow him down.

  4. Why can't people just accept shithousery? It's part of football, if you don't like it play a different sport. Oh yeah also if you push someone over and get sent off you've absolutely lost lol

  5. WTF? Its 2 to 1 in the 2nd quarter – has 2 more to go. A LOT can happen in those 2 quarters. Not to mention, you celebrate in private in the locker room or bus ride home. You dont disrespect an opponent like that. Even if they didi it to you first – be the better athlete.

  6. Everyone getting mad at Duke, but it’s a game. I guarantee there’s more than what we saw. It’s a competitive game with high emotions. If you don’t like it, how about you defend better? Aren’t all goal celebrations taunting because you’re celebrating in front of the other team?

  7. To be fair the UCLA keeper was time-wasting the whole second half, keeping the ball for 8-10 seconds at a time and the ref never enforced the 6-second rule, hence the taunting when Duke scored

  8. Haha he didn’t get rocked. And he stayed on the ground to eat up clock like the goalkeeper was doing. This is out of context, the goalkeeper was the biotch. Watch the build up before this happened.

  9. He got pushed down and than laid there on the ground crying like a Lil sissy. If ya talk smack, ya smacked. Wish that defender had knocked him out for real. Your getn red carded anyway, ya mnd as well make it count.

  10. Context Before y’all give 7 shit: The goalie was time wasting and mocking Duke all game when ucla was 1-0 up , the ref did nothing about it and let the goalie mock duke and waste time . The goalie got what he deserved for being a shithead holding the ball for 5 mins and ruining the beautiful game
