Aston Villa beat Burnley 3-1 in another fantastic performance under Unai Emery in the Premier League. Matty Cash stole the show. Moussa Diaby was superb. And Nicolò Zaniolo looked the part on his debut. Here is our reaction to the win!

Hi Frankie another great show how good does it feel to be a villa fan these days. Villas next game with liverpool are they without Van Dijk for that game ?
Love it. Up the Villa youth 🦁
The Newcastle game, score was not reflective of the match. We actually played pretty well. Sometimes shots go in and sometimes they don't. For Newcastle on that day, they went in
To move Cash forward and get that performance out of him os sooo Unai Emery. Every player knows what their job is 9 times out of 10. There's been the odd blip, St James' Park opening day… but we had lost Buendia a few days before and Mings in the actual game! The guy is a brilliant brilliant manager, no question.
Hi Frankie, good times indeed. Emery is going to make us great again. Ron Saunders was a great manager no doubt. However George Ramsey was our greatest manager of all time. Six league titles (only bettered by Alex Ferguson) and six FA cups (only bettered by Arsene Wenger) he was our manager when we were the best club in Europe. Great podcast mate enjoy the journey. UTV
Everyone,me included ,is so happy with the way Villa have been transformed under Professor Unai.
Looking ahead though,I would like to urge a little caution. September is a very tough month fixtures wise, starting with the bin-dippers away.
If we can get through September with a good points tally, then even I will start to get excited, ish.!!
Keep em coming Frankie, very enjoyable. Andy
Hi Frankie, I remember the Ron Saunders era. Late 1974 he took over from Vic Crowe with Villa languishing in the Second Division. He took the same players to promotion and League Cup double in 1975. Over the next 4 years he rebuilt the team for the First Division with another League Cup and 4th place in 1977, yes John Deehan Villa days) Sold Andy Gray to Wolves in 1979 and brought Peter Withe in 1980. There is a clip on YouTube when Ron Saunders was being interviewed by in 1980 when he told a sceptical Gary Newman that he had assembled the best team he has ever had. When asked by Gary Neman how far Villa will get, Ron said ‘with some luck one of the European places and with a bit more luck the boat race’ and how correct he was, as you know that same team won the First Division, European Cup and the Super Cup successively. I remember reading his programme notes and wrote that he would expect 110% effort and praise the supporters. This reminds me now with Emery – building a team to play good football with the right winning mentality for each game and uses the words ‘always demanding’ and also praises the supporters. I lived through the Ron Saunders, Graham Taylor, Brian Little, John Gregory, Ron Atkinson and Martin O’Neill special eras however I feel that with Emery he is beginning to build a special one again.
The Brummie Goldbridge! 😉
Love your vids, mate. Hope your channel grows this season. You deserve it. 👏
Great to see Diego Carlos get 90 minutes in a Premier League game. He will play a massive part this season because of Mings' injury.
Here is Fresno, California, USA, I am making my students watch Villa highlights at the end of class every Monday. No baseball…no (Amer.) football, hockey, basketball, whatever……. it's only Aston Villa in Room 308! UTV
Went to watch All In like myself then I watched the game on the coach down to Wembley 👍
Great post match. We are flying atm. Soo good to watch Villa under Unai, a genius for sure. UTV
Cash and McGinn will probably get the bulk of the plaudits but can we throw some flowers at Konsa?
Since that mistake at SJP he has been immense! Diego the man mountain and rolls royce Pau have been good so far but Konsa has been my standout at the back recently.
Also if that Zaniolo cameo is a hint of what we have to look forward to then we might have stolen an absolute gem!
Best villa team I’ve ever seen
Great podcast Frankie . Really enjoyable pro villa indepth analysis that managed to be intelligent, funny and interesting all at once. Will look forward to your content this season now I've found it mate.
BTW, what do you make of Alex Fergusons comments on the weekend we lost to Newcastle, that from all the games Villa were the most promising and intriguing team on show, despite the loss????
Why does konsa always go unnoticed? Immense once again yesterday 😊
Frankey I love u yanno 😆 ur absolutely nuts 🐿🐿
Tipping emery to out fox clopp. And win 2 1 Watkins luiz to score great show again Frankie keep up the good work utv
Frankie, I remember very well your uncle playing for Aston Villa and he was one of my favourite players under the great man Sir Ron Saunders and since 1976 I have seen a lot of Villa games. In my opinion, Emery is the most ELITE manager we have ever had. In my time Villa has always been a team that on occasions have played some very good football but if I’m being totally honest there has been a lot of crap.
Emery is the best manager we have ever had in my years of watching them and we should be doing everything possible to give him all the tools he needs
I’ve been a Villa fan since 1975.
Even the championship winning side in 81-82 didnt play as if they can just about murder any team like Unai’s side at the moment.
Diaby is the best player buy of the whole Premiership transfer window this season.
I look at the 80-100 mil buys and laugh.
Scouts at the top four clubs are probably getting yelled at for missing out on Diaby.
Exciting times ahead. UTV.
Off the charts – agreed. I am in a state of disbelief- admiration- excitement and serenity. I watched the game against Burnley and the football was sensational. Emery is a football genius. The quality of the football is breathtaking, next level. Agreed about the Newcastle event – the Mings injury had a major influence. Since that game we have been incredible. The new signings have been great additions. Diaby looks exciting, Torres composed and Tielmens is a class act. We are a PL force. All credit to Emery.
