Hendo has done his time at our club and time waits for no man….nothing wrong for him to gain playing time and filling up his bank account for the next few years instead of sitting on the bench…he's already a Liverpool legend and will be revered as such in the future. YNWA 😊

People wanted two reinforcements in midfield because we were light in that department, and now want to sell two crucial members of the midfield, geniuses.
So we have lost Milner, Ox, Keita and now potentially Henderson. Thiago is hardly available. We have brought in 2 new midfielders and now with the Henderson news potentially need another 2 new midfielders, a CB and another RB cover for Trent.
It actually depends on thiago. If he leaves, at least that's gives henderson more game time because he can play as a six or an eight
Szobozlai ticks the silky smooth midfielder check box so even if we recoup 10 million quid for him it's not bad.

This all makes no sense in the context of Hendo and his career arc. Lots of journos will have egg on their face if Hendo comes out and says "Yea they came to us but I told them I wasn't interested, end of." – someone will have put knowing bad info out there and everyone fell for it lock stock and barrel.
There's no chance he would go or be sold. The players will be going all out for the league title and the captain will be integral on and off the pitch to accomplishing that goal. He just needs his minutes and games managed for him and it will be a successful season.

For the club they need to recoup some money but if Hendon goes we need to be getting Lavia.
There are a few bigger characters and leaders in that dressingroom than Hendo. Ali, Robbo, Thiago and Macca got everything he’s got and more. Losing Hendo is no problem as long as he is replaced for numbers sake. Qualitywise replacing him is no problem if funds are there.
Firmino told Klopp he wanted the younger generation of strikers at the club to take over, and that is why he wasn't signing a new deal. Firmino absolutely would have been offered a new deal if it was up to Klopp, as Klopp seems to reward loyalty. While that fact is good and honorable, it is the wrong thing to do if you want to be successful. I wish Henderson would do the same as Firmino. Go into Klopp's office and say, "look, I'm not getting any younger, sell me and let a new generation take over".
Look at Manchester City. Look what they did to Fernandinho and Mahrez and Gundugan. Guardiola ruthlessly moved them on when they became too old and no longer needed, Klopp wouldn't dare do that to Henderson or Thiago unless they asked for it. I'm sorry, but this is why we are second best and will never beat man city. Klopp is too loyal to his players, he is not ruthless enough. the player he was most ruthless to in his time since joining Liverpool was Sakho. Sakho was late for training during a summer transfer window and some things were said and he was out the door. That is the most ruthless I've ever seen Klopp be. I want more of that. I want Klopp to say "I'm sorry, I don't care what your name is, but you aren't good enough anymore, you are being sold". players over the age of 32 should absolutely be sold unless they are keepers. We need to keep the average age of the squad down.

I would say it just about makes sense IF it means we can get a 6 in, I hold nothing against him either way, he’s been a great servant, we will lose our captain and leader but the team has plenty of those. I would have liked him moved back as a 6 this season with the new signings coming in but he is 33, seems to be dropping off little by little season by season as you would expect. Makes sense to me using a footballing brain, people have been moaning we are terrible at selling and everyone else is cashing on on this money… the issue is he is our captain and we need leaders to get back to the top… I don’t know, tough one the more I think about it.
God that’s a big choice. In hind sight if liverpool win the league again he’ll regret it but if they don’t he’ll regret not leaving
Huge risk letting hendo go, someone would need to step up big time to fill that leadership role, could this be the time we see Trent go for it? I feel a bit uneasy with this to be honest
