Instead of improving the standards of refereeing, which is also btw the cause of this behaviour of current players, Howard Webb has decided to punish players for even the slightest of protest, virtual card showing and coming upto referees to protest the decision going against them. Not doing your job properly is also the cause of this situation. No one here has got the courage to speak about that. Everyone will point the fingers at players, rightly so, but deliberately avoiding the whole point behind this mess. Talk about the refereeing standards for once. Why is there so much inconsistency in today's refereeing?
The rule was allways there ! A football game is played for 90 mins it has not been enforced so it was abused ! Teams been coached to slow down games and waste time ! It's expensive to go to a game so you want to watch 90 minutes of free flowing football !

They manage it in rugby and rugby league football players need to show some respect. On the other hand refs need to be a lot better at doing there jobs.
While I agree surrounding the ref trying to influence decisions is wrong there are a few things I disagree with. As a person who swears a lot in my normal vocabulary I would shout āI got the fucking ball refā or other things of that nature if I felt the decision was wrong, but doesnāt mean I am being aggressive and unfortunately the refs seem to get a lot of decisions wrong. If you stop the players being able to argue against the decisions then the abuse will come from the fans instead (rightly so in my opinion as we pay money to watch ours teams and expect correct decisions to be made)
Players / managers sit on e bench / face the sack when they underperformed / team loses.. but what happend to the incompetent reffs when their decisions are wrong and caused one team to lose???

My issue is the same type of tackle will happen even in the same game and no red card. Refs are not consistently applying rules.
