  1. Congrats to Coach Keefe on his extension in Toronto—Coach Peters has been out of the NHL for awhile, but, yeah, an apology would be nice, to ease the tension over his WHL hiring.. It really is time for an end to racism in hockey, it's 2023 ,and the sport should be all-inclusive, black, white, male, female, whatever–skill level is all that should matter , in that regard, It'll be interesting to see if any of the PTOs pan out, the Jordie Benn PTO intrigues me. Thanks for another excellent report–man, i haven't been this excited for an upcoming season for a few years; the Connor Bedard era begins in Chicago, plus excited to see how the Senators and Sabres do this year. Oh, and, of course, how will the Leafs do? Stanley Cup or Bust in Toronto, IMHO.

  2. tough trade partners between the rangers and leafs… but if nylander is somehow going to the rangers.. rangers have to start with kandre miller coming back… the rest is just up in the air to make caps work… not ideal trade partners like you said

  3. I hope Hagelin enjoys his retirement and he had a great career for an average NHLer. Toronto!! 😂😂😂 I think they will fail again this season because Nylander will be a distraction if that doesn’t get done and! Bringing back Keefe 💀 “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, But expecting different results”…. If there is one thing Toronto should have done differently this year, It would have been going into the season with a different coach because he is not a good playoff coach, even in the series that Tampa lost to Toronto Keefe was still out coached and Toronto would have lost that series if Tampa was completely healthy….

  4. The Bill Peter’s hiring what an absolute joke he should be given a lifetime ban from coaching in all leagues and at All levels of Hockey he screwed up with one player what’s to say he won’t do it again

  5. Clearly the trade doesn't work cap-wise at all. I mean you can use logic gymnastics to try to send this guy down or move this guy, but end of the day doesn't work for day to day. Seems like every made up trade scenario uses teams that have players the other team wants, but doesn't work realistically. Then again people keep thinking the cap is going up drastically like they have been saying for YEARS. I just don't see a 4 million bump, maybe 2 million at most, but that won't be known until end of the year revenue review.

As for the trade it self…I see it helping the Rangers, but I don't see how this makes the Leafs better at all, especially that defense and goaltending. Either way moves still have to be done to get both teams cap compliant after the trade.

  6. Deal Nylander and the Leafs don't win the Stanley Cup. All of a sudden the Leafs are rebuilding with no prospects and no draft picks!!! Well done Toronto mismanagement!
