Liverpool Ought to Pursue a Transfer That Aligns With Jürgen Klopp’s Preferences and Ideals.

There is currently a lot of speculation surrounding Mohamed Salah. Liverpool’s response is clear, but if they need to find a replacement for him, there is an evident transfer option.
In a recent press conference, Jürgen Klopp stated, “The answer would be no,” in reference to the speculation about Mohamed Salah’s future this summer. While Saudi Arabian clubs have shown interest in the Egyptian, who, like other top players in European football, is being eyed, Liverpool has made its stance known.
Al-Ittihad is interested in Salah this summer. Even though Liverpool has firmly stated that he is not for sale, the unpredictable nature of the market leaves room for uncertainty. At times, the offered amounts of money can be enticing.
Although Liverpool probably did not anticipate losing Fabinho or Jordan Henderson this summer, they received offers they couldn’t turn down. In Salah’s case, any offer would have to exceed the world record fee and surpass any fee Liverpool has received in its history.
However, if a substantial sum were to be offered, even this late in the transfer window, both Liverpool and Salah would need to seriously consider it. Saudi Arabia’s ambitions are evident, as they’ve entered the European market and attracted star players like Neymar.
Most teams now have squads filled with star players, and the attractive wages offered make a move to the Saudi Pro League appealing.
While this outcome is highly unlikely at the moment, if it were to happen, Liverpool’s ideal choice to replace Salah would be someone who has previously caught the club’s attention: Jarrod Bowen. He’s a player who could seamlessly fit into Liverpool’s setup.
Klopp expressed his admiration for Bowen’s style of play back in 2021, noting his rapid rise from Hull City and his impactful performances in the Premier League. Bowen, a left-footed right-winger with speed and energy, has the attributes to thrive on Liverpool’s right flank.
At 26 years old, Bowen is in his prime and has been in excellent form, contributing goals and assists consistently. He started the Premier League season with two goals and an assist in three games. In the previous season, he was involved in 21 goals for West Ham across all competitions.
Replacing Salah completely would be a daunting task, but Bowen is a strong contender to fill the right-wing position. With his contract until 2025, his cost wouldn’t be exorbitant, allowing Liverpool to allocate the remaining funds to address other areas of concern within the squad.
This scenario is currently highly unlikely, but eventually, Liverpool will face the challenging task of replacing Salah. Ideally, this would occur in the distant future. However, if it happens within the next year or two, the most suitable replacement candidate would undoubtedly be Bowen.
