Johan Cruyff reminds me of Messi when he dribbles but has a more straight posture. Ferenc Puskas is the closest person I have seen to Messi dribbling or a mix between both. Frenkie was given too much time and space during his Ajax days. It's showing in this more advanced position and smaller spaces. This is why I can see him getting fouled a lot. Johan Cruyff would tell Frenkie if he was still alive, "Position yourself better and you wont get fouled!" I also read an article that people are concerned for his future and leaving but at the same time I seen Xavi was wanting to help Frenkie with his positioning and to have him stop dropping for the ball. He did that at Ajax and people want to argue that he needs to be in a double pivot. No, he needs to learn better positioning in a formation that is better than the double pivot.
By the way, De Jong looks way more attractive when he is on the ball, the posture gets me.
