On ‘Good Morning Transfers’ the panel of David Reed, Olivia Buzaglo, Sam Obaseki and French football expert Tom Williams discussed Rennes player Jeremy Doku.
Doku is expected to travel to the northwest on Tuesday to undergo a medical, after Manchester City agreed a £55.5m deal to sign the winger
The Belgium international has been linked with a number of Premier League teams this summer and is now set to join the champions.
Man City are looking for a winger to replace Riyad Mahrez, who left for Saudi Arabia in the wake of City’s treble-winning season.

Doku is a baller. City at it again.
At 3:09 , only Lionel Messi (and Vini) has more dribbles than him. Messi at 36
Adds some unpredictability and spontaneity to City. Good option to have for some games or situations. Can play both flanks too. Wouldn't surprise me if Pep converted him into something like a fullback either.
Road runner
Calm down we ain’t spent nearly 800 million in 2 windows
Sky tying its best to find faults 😂😂😂😂
Doku gives the ball away constantly, not a Pep player.
Not since Sane.
BAD HAIR…😂
Sky sports is forever washed especially when you get these rejects talking absolute crap
If Doku was English, they wouldn't complain about his fee.
He definitely needs some Pep time, will probably play 15 -20 games this season. Good signing though.
Why do they keep saying “a lot of money”. 55million quid in today’s market is not a lot of money. Appears to be the average prices quoted on almost all players nowadays
Pace Skills Intelligence
Doku will Soon be compared to Vinicus jnr
Kid has electrifying pace , remember one game on the Euros ( think it was against Italy) he was unstoppable with his dazzling runs and dribbling , Pep might turn him into a beast
He will give us pace something we don’t have with grealish
Unreal signing. If City weren't already unstoppable, they sure are now! WOW 💙💙
He does remind me of a sterling and saka. Just a lot faster 🏃🏿♂️
Net-spend is a nice point an all when you're considering the future, but, with probably only two season left with Pep, I'd argue that the finished product would be the better spend at this time. Unless you're Real Madrid, aided by playing in a weak LiLiga, no side in club football has been as successful as Pep's City. That level of performance and achievement can't be expected to continue when it is finally time for the Catelan to walk on. So, considering a short-term period where City will want to further fill the trophy case, I'm just not sure a project, for as exciting as Doku is, is the best move to make. You'd think that City fans and the board would want an established winger or an established goal-scoring mid-fielder to give Pep the tools to manage a full campaign of fixtures and competitions. That said, I am really interested to see Doku taking on his defender.
Very fast feet and no final product.
City be balling. Come on!
Goodluck to Cole Palmer and stepping up this season.
It’s simple. If Pep wants him, he is worth the money and will grow under the manager. Him, Foden, Josko etc are the future.
They are just individual's with views. What makes these people experts?
My god these people on Sky are soooooo boring to listen to…plus, who the hell are they???? This show is the cure for insomnia
Rory's opinions are like Chelsea's performance. Today THIS tomorrow THAT😅
doku signing at city is super for the belgian squad
He's over rated
City will be needing LB and RB also another winger on top of that another replacement for KDB
Doku will bring you pace, get you to the byline but thats it. It seems a strange signing for me because even someone like moussa diaby would’ve been the same but better technically.
Pep will bench him within 2nd season mark my words. Does this all the time with black players.
Expect mistreatment and damping by Guardiola in the nearest future.
City are actually spending millions not Chelsea pep
City could've promoted Carlos Borges to the senior team. We could've had 2 wingers that are directly going at the defense
I wonder what people would say if any other club signed him
To warm the bench and then go on loan to France
Who are these children ???
What I keep asking myself, is what Manchester United's scouts and sporting director are paid to do exactly?
We got rid of Sane, and then got rid of Sterling. It’s great to see some pace out wide again.
