As an Arsenal fan I'm sick of my team time wasting, it's been happening for 2-3 seasons now, we seem to always tale 10 seconds or more for a throw in.. fair enough, if were up 1-0 at City and its 80+ minutes but not at bloody 65 mins at Palace…
It's not even that the refs are making poor decisions. this will always happen – It's that there are rules purposely in place to prevent the VAR being used when refs do so. If we can all see it's a clear error, the VAR should be able to alert the ref at any point, not under special circumstances decided by some nobodies who are never held accountable
Watch how much arsenal time waste and how much they complain this season. They should've had 3 more yellows when their players keep asking for cards and didn't get a card themselves.
According to the law, VAR can't intervene when it comes to yellow cards, I'm guessing because they don't want to waste more time checking for more things during the game. You're right, it doesn't make sense. I believe VAR should intervene whenever a player is about to be wrongfully sent off.
The case of taking too long for throw ins; install big ass digital timers on each of the four corners of the pitch, that count down as soon as the thrower picks up the ball. He/she can then glance up and know how much time he/she has left before getting booked. To be fair, they should get a warning first and then booked after the second offense of taking too long to throw the ball back in.
Yellow for time wasting was fair.

The standard of officiating in this league is disgraceful. More pressure needs to be placed on them to get decisions right otherwise they lose their jobs or get demoted. In the future the prem has to look at importing refs from other leagues to resolve some of the issues!

The ref that said onana didnt take out the wolves player also said joe willock being pushed by a palace defender into the goal keeper which then caused the ball to bounce off the pushing player into the goal was ruled out and deemed that joe willock FOULED the goalkeeper for being FOULED into the goalkeeper……
Thats not a lack of consistency, thats completely cheating. He's saying the goalkeeper didnt foul in one instance and saying the goalkeeper got fouled by having a player pushed into him from his own team…….
You cannot get that wrong, those two instances PROVE either doesnt know what he's doing or he's lying, both are equally damning. Sacked with immediate effect.
Some one tell Alan, that he received second yellow for the time wasting half min before on the throw in. And it he was the last drop in the water with the hole time wasting Arsenal team did till that point, so he was just the fall guy. It has noting to do with the foul! Read and UNDERSTAND the rules before you speak on TV or publicly.
Each team should be given 2 / 3 VAR request per game. So that the managers can request to review any decision that he might think its important to protect his player. The concept suggested is similar to Tennis.
Get the best international referees. You've already got the best international players

Its one of the worst red cards for arsenal sincr the time martnelli was sent off against wolves for 2 yellow cards in the same incident or since luiz was sent off for a straight red against wolves for not even touching a wolves player these are the seding offs that only happen against arsenal and NEVER happen again anywhere in football such a joke!!

As always, the bit part extra of the main event wants to be centre stage. Referees should be seen and not heard or spoken about more than the actual event. Do the job properly and get back to what their main role is. And it isnโt taking up column inches and social media platforms. Narcissists.

Its not the refs its the rules , the rules are ridiculous, they bring in VAR and then ruin it by bringing in stupid handball rules , stupid offsides , now its time wasting , the game is being ruined by the rules ,VAR could easily work properly , but new rules brought in make it harder to use.

A completely incompetent corrupt cowardly referee was dancing to the rhythm of the home crowd all evening. Ayew should have been given a second yellow for his blatant pullback on Saka or his dive to cheat Tommy into getting a second yellow. Tommy barely touched him and the lowlife dived like he had been hit by a truck. Thankfully we were ok in the end and on this occasion the cheat didnโt prosper ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
