  1. Cheers for the update jay, not the news I'd like to hear but hopefully this situation gets sorted soon then maybe city will look into signing a new winger

  2. It's funny we have teams in the Premiership that can by a 105 million pound play and spend another 100 million pounds and yet we are struggling to get a player makes no sense to me

  3. City will fail to sign Gvardiol if they could they would've done it by now , it's the similar scenario what they had with Kane couple of years ago dragging till the last day . I also think they'll fail to sign any big player to replace Mahrez or Gundogan maybe giving more games to academy player but that will be it for the window. Cancelo to leave and Laporte will stay .

  4. Still like La Porte . Guardiol is a miss but think the other guys are right , should’ve happened by now . Cancelo has nowhere to go – think Peps door is open if he can show a bit of humility ( that’s probably not going to happen is it ) . Walker , could go either way – I’d give him an extra year , think he is “ big “ in the dressing room and will be good if Mcatee , Palmer , Lewis , Bobb are included in first team . He’s still a good player . Bernado , can’t let him go .

  5. Definitely sign him, doesn't look like they will, all settled other than minor details, no chance. This is silly. I think Pep will see this is lack of support. We are looking like a penny pinching Club.

  6. Can Cancelo play on the right wing as a backup to Bernado? Can definitely provide good defensive support and also put in great crosses from that right side.

  7. Take comfort Jay. This is "Smoke And Mirrors" City-Style.

👉Let's get this straight, 2 centre-backs, both internationals (albeit 1 for the U21's and current England Captain), both roughly the same age, in your piece.
One touted for £15m, one touted for £85m plus. What gives!
Burnley playing hardball on trying to get the £15m reduced. Are they having a laugh!

City on the plane and Pep will already have his first XI in mind. Hope there's no injuries, but he will probably be going with a 16 or 17 man squad. The rest? He has probably the best club Academy in the world as back up should need be.
Have the "newbies" impressed enough to make the final 17 or will they be loaned?
Has the olive branch been offered to Cancelo? What is the position with Aymeric Laporte?
Take Gvardiol, he's already behind the eight-ball having missed the Japan & South Korea Tour. Not irredeemable but hard work. All players have to back themselves so who is Gvardiol going to force out?

My guess is that Walker stays, Palmer probably goes on-loan. THB joins Carlos Borges at the Hammers, as they have the Rice Money burning a hole in their pocket.
That Alvarez and Foden having good pre-season games, will have new roles with Foden as KDB's understudy.
That Gomez might be on the wing and that Perrone will be seen more often as his role is more clearly defined.

People on the outside looking in are panicking. Pep is the best club manager in the world and he and his coaches don't miss a trick.

City probably don't need to sign anyone. They've just won the treble and have ready- mades in-house.
Will City go with "wingless-wonders" as they did without a centre forward?

Pep is always ahead of the curve.

    Just only needs fine-tuning.

  8. I'm having difficulty with the Gvardiol and Red Bull group as well. One moment they want Tim Tams at our meeting, the next they want Penguins. Right now, I just hoping Txiki gets it done…I can't be bothered with the mind games anymore.

  9. Move on and stop obsessing with one player. He’s decent but we did destroy his team last season and he did nothing in that game.

  10. 🙂 J , I think you're panicking the fans a bit. Yes it can all be sorted with Gvardiol in the next 2 weeks but if it isn't 🤷‍♂ still have six strong CBs. For me after pre season , 2. issues. The wing replacement to some degree and unfortunately Kalvin. I wanted Kalvin in and to do well but at this moment I ain't sure it's going to work out.

  11. Never fails to amaze me. I don't particularly want to see Walker leave but it looks like Munich want him on the cheap! If we were after him from Munich, Barca or Real the price would be £60/70 million minimum. Also, Munich tapped up Sane for almost 2 years but would scream foul play uf we did that to them. City should tell them to f#@k off & refuse to even entertain selling to them. They all hate City until it suits them!

  12. Gvardiol is probably the best defeder in the world right now, and he is young and good investment, but $100m??,cmmonn…
Im from Croatia wishing the best for the kid but $100 milion?
I think that he will stay in Germany and next year will go in Real Madrid, mark my words..😉

  13. Cities transfer business is always chaotic , for a wealthy big Club it’s crap. Get rid of some of these youngsters that’s never going to make a first team regular a bring in a few millions then maybe we will afford our targets. I don’t care if they have won lots of Trophies we’ve let far to many top players slip away in the past.

  14. City's transfer department buy very expensive sell very cheaply bout time they stood their ground and said here's the price either put up ot push off ,,,,,,,citd,,,,,,,KTF
