Joe, Kyle Allen's pick was on a 3rd down, where you most likely would be punting from and gave the best WR on the field a chance to make a play. Should the pass been better and deeper, maybe, do not know what he saw when he released it. Effectively it was a punt downed to the 15 yard line. Something most top tier QB's would say is an acceptable Pick!!! Understand you might just want to get rid of Kyle Allen just like you wanted to get rid of an injured Gabe Davis last year who had to play many more additional snaps due to Crowder and Kumerow (two larger WR who could block) both being injured!! Of course you never mention that in context last year, just Gabe Davis is bad. Just the stats, Kyle Allen had an interception, like you are doing now!!!! Context matters a lot, down and distance matters, 3rd and 15 at the Bears 42!

Ed Oliver played great when he was in, he stuffed the run from the beginning and basically took Fields out of the game after he smacked him. I’m still very concerned about the mike linebacker spot too, Dodson definitely doesn’t do it for me.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Elam not beating out Dane and Benford doesn't make him a bust. Benford and Dane have been playing above average CB2, so that just means our CB3 and CB4 are just better than 15-20 teams' CB2s. If you just went and offered a GM 2 above average CBs on cost controlled contracts for a LATE 1st and 6th most would jump at that offer. Also you all know DAMN WELL that if in the offseason we traded Dane and we never drafted Benford and Elam played the EXACT SAME as he has. None of you would be screaming bust. You'd be talking about his physical traits and how he's been playing well for a rookie and how experience will bring consistency. Elam hasn't played badly by basically any metric and if you compare him to most other 1st rounders he isn't doing badly there either. The only thing you're all upset about is that Benford is above him because of a number that doesn't mean anything except that almost everyone misjudged how good Benford would be. Instead of going by past evaluation (that lead to draft pick number) try evaluating them how they've played since entering the league. I'd argue Benford has played better than basically every CB taken above him except Sauce Gardner.
Honestly same with Elam. Compare Elam's stats with McDuffie who was drafted right before him. Elam had similar tackles + 2 MORE interceptions than McDuffie in half the number of starts. No one is calling McDuffie a bust. IN FACT people are PRAISING the Chiefs for picking a CB above Elam that performed WORSE than Elam…..He just has that starter title still on a team that won the SB. Statistically Elam's metrics aren't bad at all compared to basically any of the other CBs drafted that year.
How about the rest? Rodger McCreary, Kyler Gordon, Andrew Booth Jr, Alontae Taylor, Cam Taylor-Britt, Martin Emerson, Marcus Jones, Coby Byant, Damarri Mathis, Akayleb Evans, Jalyn Armour-Davis, Jack Jones, Joshua Williams, Damarion Williams, Decobie Durant, Tariq Woolen, Zyon McCollum, DaRon Bland, Samuel Womack. That's every CB drafted between Elam and Benford.
How many of them would also be at risk of loosing their starting job to Benford? I'd argue every single one of them would have to compete for it and only a couple would have a legit chance to win it over Benford or Elam. Instead of saying Bean is trash for drafting a CB in the 1st round that's loosing his job to a 6th rounder maybe give him praise for drafting a CB in the 6th round that's legit playing better or even with 22 CBs drafted before him!? Bean found a true GEM in Benford that doesn't make Elam coal.
Cook and Harris played well.

There is alot of good mlb's thats not gonna make some rosters in a couple days. So there is options ahead. Bills must try to upgrade Mlb and RT.

Ld love to see the Bills look at the Giants 3rd QB DeVido if he goes to waivers. He looked great with the second and third stringers against the Jets. Poised and on target each throw. Just a thought.
Complaining about back up qb on any team is silly. There’s not even enough quality starters in the league. Few backups are capable. I also wouldn’t give the Oline much credit. The bears d line is subpar. This Oline is a big problem. Gabe’s hands have been an issue. He’s not a true #2. Failing to upgrade at WR #2 is a huge failure on Beans part.
