Surely the 49ers must be aware of the critical situation we are in. With Adams gone, you would like to think we have deals lined up. Wishful thinking? I sincerely hope not. All I know is LUFC can screw anything up – we had 4 years to buy a forward, 4 years to work out Bamford is crap, and for 4 years we failed to make any changes that would make Bamford redundant ….. lol we ended up giving him a contract extension! Nothing tells me this is the year we can sort it out.

Thanks for your continued efforts and updates ger. Personally I'm gutted we didn't take a part x with adams deal. Some fringe players we could have used in efl. Hoping we have bigger fish coming in 😊
Ger, sorry to have a rant but I want to air suggestions about the board and our transfer dealings..
After coming out and making the “aggressive” statement and watching the shit show that unfolded afterwards, re: the loan deals, surely there’s no way the investment group knew about this previously to the takeover. Or they wouldn’t make such a silly statement. It doesn’t make sense any other way I look at it.
Then- a lot of people jumped on the board for making the “aggressive” statement when basically nothing has transpired since, bar Darlow, Ampadu & Byram & now Rodon. If I’m being honest, while not enough for the coming season, even those x4(!) are better than previous windows we’ve had to endure. Also remembering- the loan deal saga took away any chance the club had to strategically sell & use that money on incomings.
However.. Surely now- for the 49’ers group, on all fronts, it’s damage control and total silence until they know they can make a statement, without getting egg on their face again. Or they’ll be labelled the next coming of GFH & have everyone offside from the start by looking very amateur.
I understand why there’s nothing from the club, bar Farke’s interviews..
Sort out all of the outgoings, look where the biggest holes are- at one point we had too many wingers & now it’s the reverse. Cover as many holes as possible.
If they’re taking this approach- maybe we had to wait before launching for one player- the club & Farke might’ve rather use the same amount of money on x2 players to cover more holes, than rely on 1 new signing to get us out of the mess we’re in…
Again, apologies for the essay, but we needed a new defence and Farke & the 49’ers have basically already delivered that. So at the very least I’m content with what they’ve achieved so far. We need (!!!) a striker (if we’re lucky another mid as well) & if they deliver that, it’ll be the best window we’ve had for years & years..
No to Shelvey and Sargent, not good enough!
I can’t see how Gnonto can stay given his language and posturing over the last few weeks. I would take Everton’s money, make a good profit, get rid of a destabilising influence and n buy in some attacking midfielder / forward.
