Fluminense Rejected Liverpool’s Offer For Brazilian Player, André.

Liverpool’s £26 million ($32.5 million) bid for Fluminense midfielder André has been turned down by the Brazilian club.
Liverpool aims to secure André’s signing before the transfer window closes on September 1st, but Fluminense is hesitant to let the Brazilian international go before their season concludes.
Fluminense’s board has conveyed to Liverpool that even if they were to increase the offer for André, they would not allow the player to leave at this moment.
Liverpool is in need of reinforcing their midfield after the departures of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson to Saudi Arabia during the summer. Fabinho moved to Al Ittihad in a £34,5 million transfer on July 31st, while Henderson joined Al Ettifaq in a £12 million deal before that.
With a contract running until December 2026, André, aged 22, holds a crucial role under coach Fernando Diniz at Fluminense. He has participated in a team-leading 40 matches this season and has garnered interest from several other clubs.
Fluminense holds ambitious aspirations of winning the Copa Libertadores this season. The Rio de Janeiro-based club is scheduled to face Paraguayan side Club Olimpia in the first leg of their quarterfinal match in the continental club competition on September 24th, with the return leg set for a week later.
Having seemingly missed out on André, Liverpool will now turn their attention to identifying another potential candidate to bolster their midfield ranks.
Jürgen Klopp’s team will not pursue André’s acquisition in 2024.
