      Havertz was chained in at Chelsea, too many players, no consistency. New system, new team, new coaches… the Arsenal team clearly see something worthwhile in Kai and believe in him. A half-dozen games and he'll be integrated more organically into the starting 11.

      Took Ødegaard a while to settle in, Havertz gives me similar vibes, a slow burn player that could turn out to be a steal.

      If Arteta figures Kai Havertz to be Arsenals Raumdeuter, kai must improve on his finishing capability, but most importantly, his teammates have to be aware that kai will always be in a position for the pass. They must get the timing down if this is going to work.

      No I'm not misunderstanding anything. Havertz is passive. £65,000,000 for what?! Can't agree cannot see he fits in anywhere especially when we have Trossard sitting on a bench doing nothing. Man City would be delighted to have Trossard and he'd get games there too . Especially when we need, above all else, a natural elite striker. Arteta ? trying to be clever trying to think he has to be intellectual about football. Put players into the natural places they have and that's it. It's not rocket science. Tierney? I wont even go there. Utterly ridiculous

      he's gonna have to do a HELL of a lot more than make off the ball runs, charge round trying to press and winning the odd duel. Otherwise it's a waste of money and it's on Arteta.
      Only my prediction but what you've seen so far is pretty much what you are gonna get from him.

      I don’t think many Arsenal fans actually understand what a raumdeuter is and how much they can do once the whole team understand their movements (understandably since it’s a high level role). it’s going to take time for the chemistry to get there but once it does you’ll see what makes his positioning so dangerous for other teams

      Didnt realize this was a DG vid when i clicked lol great analysis imo and i totally agree. Kai looks iike a confidence player and i think once he gains that confidence we'll see more of what he has to offer. we need to show patience with him. I think this was a signing aswell to unlock Eddie and get him to be able to stay forward more than he has been. Once it all starts clicking we will see a better Eddie too imo, one whos breaking the lines. we dont need an eddie who drops deep.

      I think the G/A will come as he learns the role and the team grow into the system and figure out how Havertz plays. I’ve been really impressed with his pressing, work rate and he’s really good at the tactical foul. I believe he’ll be an asset but will he live up to the price tag I’m not sure, hope so.

      I hear you DG. My issue is..

      Havertz was brought so we could continue the double pivot when Xhaka left. Xhaka was better going foward though. When Xhaka was here my main criticism was he didn't do enough to help Partey out. That became a necessity against better teams because Odegaard was never gonna have the defensive quality to help out. Unfortunately instead of going for a replacement in that regard(box to box destroyer)we went like for like. We instead got a midfielder in Rice who is a clone of Partey in style as a DMF. So then Arteta tried to remedy the Xhaka position with Havertz. As I say Havertz isn't as good on the front end and gives little on the back end. Basically he just fills a vacated position. If I were to give positives of Havertz he does make good runs, gets his foot at times. His lack of intensity and aggression is a problem for me though. That doesn't just effect his own performance it effects everyone else's because they have to work harder. He's also keeping a quality player like Trossard out the team and his presence is encouraging Arteta to change the system. Which is throwing us off. In all honesty his signing has been regrettable for me. I truly believe Zinchenko is the man to play number 8. Again he like Xhaka won't give you much defensively, but he will give you as much offensively as he's clever around the box with probing passes and controlling the tempo.

      Good take on Kai, DG…he will grow on fans in the same way Odegaard doubters who were initially perplexed…he's playing cerebrally, leveraging his size and skill and his vision is highly underrated…good work, my friend…

      If kai havertz was called gabi veiga, nobody would be saying anything. I will always remember when chelsea beat us 2 nil at the emirates and I realised he was a good player

      It's the fact he's playing people out of postion like partey. And getting rid of a outstanding partnership in Gabriel and saliba to accommodate him. Plus he walks straight into the team. Trossard, Vieira, Smith Rowe must be thinking it's a bit of a piss take. Seeing as he's been ok at best.
