The desire to see Foden on the pitch is the decision to make necessary changes quickly. When it's obvious a team needs to replace a player and they don't do it on time the manager looks incompetent and that makes the fans lose confidence. SG made a lot of people lose faith in him by the end of that game.
probably also coz as much crap as people give england, head to head they actually have a good record against all other nations, mainly due to how long they were professionally playing before many of the others began their journey in football. Against almost all other powerhouses they either are in advantage or really really even winning or losing by 1 or 2 matches.
