Jérémy Doku looks set to complete his £55m transfer from Rennes to Manchester City in the coming days, but while the obvious comparison is to the outgoing Riyad Mahrez, it might be that Pep Guardiola has a very different play for the winger.

since i was first can i get a shoutout
His job is to get the ball into the box as often as possible. City have 2 box demons in Alvarez and Haaland to make sense of the chaos and react to it and turn it into a goal. He is gonna be insanely direct cuz City have built the ultimate rest defense.
Aim: Haaland 45-50 goals, Juli 35-40 goals, Goals conceded = 15-20(Maybe even going for Chelsea's defense record, Cech's clean sheet record and Arsenal's Invincibles)
Cole Palmar clear
Can never go wrong with a good Brie or Parmesan
Medium cheddar.
They should give more chances to Cole Palmer, City have loads of great young talent to be trusted in
Get the man a digital display! He’s surely earnt it.
Great vid!
He's a dribbly winger. Pep (and Txixi), love dribbly wingers. What's the mystery.
This is not looking good for palmer
The difference is: Grealish and Mahrez outwide are effective on the wings dribbling towards the defence.
Doku is clearly effective from own-half beating players and his pace progressing the ball forwards thus disrupting presses earlier and breaking the defensive structure sooner to feed the forwards.
As you say, Foden etc will take on the link and passing roles De Bruyne usually runs but Doku will progress up the pitch and then allow those players to be fed the ball subsequently in the middle….
/2 cents. Overall agree with the vid.
he's fit and ready, so he'll start next game? would cause fpl chaos 🤣
nah Pep will find a way to make lets just say walker a right winger
Agreed but tbf akanji has been in the mid
Best cheeses: Montgomery Cheddar, Stichelton, Chaource. On another note – it would be great to see a clear breakdown on why Defensive Midfielders have suddenly become some of the most expensive players, taking over from attackers, is this a function of how the way we play football has changed, and if so, how and why? I've not seen anyone do a simple and clear account of it – but I assume it has something to do with the needs of modern teams changing fundamentally – also, it seems that all the teams that are struggling right now – United / Liverpool etc, are struggling because of the lack of these players.
wensleydale and cranberry
I feel will see him being so similar to sterling once I saw it was doku I knew pep wanted a sterling type or saka like player
Finally we will see more excitement on the field with Doku's dribbles
Haaland is going to love Jeremy Doku
I initially thought of him as a Sterling replacement,
He runs on three legs
It just sickens me that we’ve spent 165 m on Antony and Sancho and still need a rw. City’s scouting system is first class
Yes.Totally agree.Signing doku will free B.silver to the middle and that position arrangement will help B.Silver to resign the contract
Mature white cheddar
Okay my head is spinning roundabout lol..
Please make a video about Lewis Hall
your content is always good
Just hope his injuries of a couple of seasons ago don't return
It's called WM or inverted WW. Chapman's system.
Im excited for Doku. I think he will do well and help us win the league again
Do one why West Ham want Maguire to make the other pkayers feel quick and McTom so they can feel smart.
He's gonna play grealish in the middle and doku and the left. He's not Mahrez replacement. It's very simple
Kovacic is a steal fo 30 mil
I was amazed with his performance
Great signing
Josko Gvardiol is perfect for Man City!!!
Olmo from Leipzig could be great signing
