Gabriel is amongst the best cb in the league. There is no replacing him. His grossly underrated.
Play in Gabriel's position? I don't think so. I believe they've hired him to challenge/cover at the right CB and right back positions with Saliba and White. Tomiyasu is good but has struggled to stay fit so they are safeguarding themselves, and we also needed an upgrade on Holding, as the drop off in quality was significant when he had to come in for Saliba at the back end of last season.

I love the show but Stevie is getting worse and worse as far as research or simply listening! He said the same dumb thing last time as well. JT is not coming in to compete at CB and especially not LCB! It’s to push Ben White who would cover for Saliba or add depth to our Dmidfield. Panel needs to make more of an effort overall as well, they seem lazy these days.
