Al Nassr and Al Hilal faced off in the final of the 2023 Arab Club Championship, with the two Saudi Arabian giants putting on a thrilling display. In the end, it was Al Nassr who came out on top, winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Abdulrahman Al-Ghassani and Hamed Al-Dosari.
The match was a close affair from start to finish, with both teams creating chances. Al Hilal took the lead in the 27th minute through Mohamed Kanno, but Al Nassr equalized in the 51st minute through Al-Ghassani. The winning goal came in the 87th minute, when Al-Dosari scored a brilliant solo goal.
The victory was a major accomplishment for Al Nassr, who had never won the Arab Club Championship before. It was also a personal triumph for coach Heimir Hallgrimsson, who had previously won the competition with Al Ahly in 2006.
