Skipp and Hojbjerg I would still keep as backups as well. They might be boring defensive players who rarely pass forward but they know how to keep possesion and close the game off.

Hojbjerg against united was exactly that. He came on to be defensive and slow the game down and just keep possesion.

Perisic as well we should keep just 1 more year as a substitute player. His experience will help us close games off, and occasionally play dangerous crosses into the box for an extra goal.

He still hasn’t got his touch and timing right yet, and yes it’s easy to play backwards and sideways, but goals will come, if he honestly genuinely wants to drive forward at pace and takes shots at goal.
