      We are still miles away.

      Brighton played better overall.

      Even with less men (10) they were better on the ball.

      Chelsea with more men would still make silly mistakes.

      If there was more 30min certainly Brighton would have scored one more goal or even more.

      We'll have a reality check soon if we don't get better.

      Nicolas Jackson is an MVP, looks like a steal at this point and Mudryk is a lightning, we thought Timo was fast, this guy is insane.

      I’ve always wanted to see Reece play as a 6, similar to how Kimmich transformed. Gusto could just be a starting RB and Reece our 6 if this Caicedo deal drags too much.

      Sterling needs to be shipped out. He is on 300k and all our wingers are better than him. He is actually awful! Gusto was immense! I'm pretty sure he will bench Reece this season…cos as we know Reece will be injured not long after the season starts.

      Obviously only you little plastic kids thought it was, or treated it like a cup final, but sorry to burst your bubble, it was just a training game against lower table opponents to Brighton and everyone else.
      As for the take away…
      Climb out of your navel gazing echo chambers and go read all the impartial professional reviews of the match, they’re only talking about Brighton, about Adingra, about Pedro, about DeZerbi, about how exciting and good Brighton were, how dominant they were, how they were top on all the stats, how they were simply better than Chelsea, simply another level… What more do you need from a pre season training game? Points? League position? Or cold comfort because the nast team won’t give you what you clearly desperately need, a decent player.

      Conor is better in attacking midfield. He wasn't poor in midfield i just prefer him nearer the box. Can be used as a utility sub and cover for anywhere except DM let him continue to evolve.

      What I like about this poch team already is the progression of the ball, more into the opposition half. That is a complete contrast to last season Chelsea performance. Jackson has some drogba qualities in him and he even looks and moves like drogba. More to come

      We should sell Sterling but who is going to pay his massive wages ? Perhaps Saudi is the answer for him. He can join all the other overpaid worn out players and even increase his wages.

      Bashir Humphreys is someone nobody is talking about, but he’s an excellent defender and with Wesley Fofanna out with serious injury. I would certainly give him his spot in the first team 🤔

      What happened to your 5 or 6 nil? You are celebrating beating a team with ten men, up until then we dominated most of the play and even down to ten men we pulled back two goals and nearly drew the match.
