Earlier this season we thought Shohei Ohtani had a good chance of breaking the 60 home run threshold. While that is still possible, Matt Olson has gone on fire as of late and also put himself into the 60 home run picture. Can one, or both, of them do it? If so, who will hit the mark first?
Matt Olson sure has gone on fire, and so have the Braves. They sit with the best record in baseball and don’t seem to have any weaknesses to them. It seems as if they may have the NL locked down… unless they run into the red hot Dodgers, who have won EIGHT in a row and have looked just as good as any team has this season.
While some teams are a lock to make the playoffs, others are scratching and clawing their way into the Wild Card picture. Every day both the AL and NL races grow closer and it’s shaping up to be a chaotic end of the season for the playoff picture. Which teams have the best chances of sneaking into the playoffs?
With the playoffs just around the corner, it’s about that time for some players to turn their seasons around to help their team with the playoff push. Trea Turner has done just that as of late. Since the Philly fans gave Trea a standing ovation two weeks ago, he’s been on fire and has showed us the Trea Turner we know and love for the first time this season. Can he keep it up? Also, who are some other players who have gotten hot recently?
