Muapay got a a bad ball from doucoure, controlled it on his chest and had a shot on target, nothing wrong with that, call yourself Everton fans, then support the team,we had 9 shots on target to fullhams 2,that was unlucky we had more chances, remember when Lampard was in charge ,we had 1 or 2 shots on target
Hi Rose. thanks for your vid. Words fail me- they really do!!!. Nobody, whoever they are should receive abuse of that nature. that is absolutely vile and their is absolutely no justification for comments of that vile nature to be posted online to anybody. Everton FC correctly so, have come out and condemmed that/those comments. however Rose, this is a problem that is unfortunately- all to common in everyday society now. It is for The Government to raise issues of this nature with the social media companies, to protect us all from receiving abuse online. Hopefully the club will support Neal Maupay and show him that they and we are fully behind him in regards to this issue. Thanks Rose. John. ðŸ˜
I'm glad you commented on this, Rose! I'm dumbfounded by comments minimizing abusive posts or saying Maupay should stay off social media. He's not at fault here. We all have the responsibility to behave online as we do in real life. If someone shouted that comment at Maupay from the stands, there would be an immediate reaction from the people around him, possibly even ejection from the stadium. Social media shouldn't be a safe haven from accountability. This is partly why the Internet has earned its reputation as a bit of a cesspool of humanity. We can and should do better.
Childish behaviour if they can't say it to someone's face it should not be said. People haven't had the life lessons these days it seems aboulute bairns.
I admit, I had a go… but at the situation & wrong tactics..
No need for that, ever…
He’s not an out & out striker.. simple.. Brighton had the same problem, excellent until the end product.. That’s miraculously disappeared from their game now..
Yes I would condemn the abuse Maupay suffered but I don’t think Keane & Maupay should be playing when we have Brandwaithe & Cannon. Just remember when Keane was removed near the end of last season & replaced by Mina how our game improved. True we need a striker & if cdl is not available for whatever reason, then we should sell him.
I'm sorry but he is a complete waste of money. We bought him to score goals . He can't or won't score goals . If I employed another engineer who constantly failed to meet targets , then he would be managed out of the business. He needs to be managed out of Everton. That is a fact. Yesterday, I used 7 trains and 2 busses travelling to and from the ground and didn't get back through my front door until 23:45. We earn our opinions.
I couldn't agree more Rose, online abuse is something I feel v passionately about stopping and we need these social media companies to figure out the fairest way to deter this behaviour xx
Well said, Maupay deserves to catch a break, it is grotesque to single one person out for a whole-team problem which Dyche is trying to solve with inadequate resource. "Mau change for goal-shy Toffees. New Hair colour, new number – but the same lack of finesse in front of goal for Neal Maupay". That by the way is from the Sunday Mirror, which singled him out to day as being a goal jinx. When the press lead the charge, the keyboard bullies will pile on even more. The Sunday Times was more balanced saying that while he was "cast" as chief culprit [by the fans] , "That Maupay was even forced to take the strain will be viewed as further mismanagement of a squad that mustered only 34 goals last term". We need to keep a sense of proportion….Dyche has a project on his hands and he will deliver. The team played energentically, creating many chances, and had every case for winning the game…a disallowed goal, a shot off the bar, Doucoure effort frustrated, iwobi playing very well……..even Fulham's manager Silva admitted that "Everton deserved better". It would have been a real problem for Everton had there been no chances created. We all need to lay off Maupay – who has genuine talents but is played out of his best position and role – and stop pitching him as the fall guy for a lousy outcome. Our luck will balance out over the season and we will see what the true measure of the team is.
While i agree that people should probably not send messages like this. I dont like how the club is playing all goody two shoes like they bear no responsibility in this… another wasted joke of a transfer window.. headlock gate.. moshiri an kenwrongs super squirm to stay in place doing same nonsense while throwing more people under the bus. No supporter wanted maupay to start the season at the club nevermind start. An its not maupays fault. I dont agree with the messaging players but i do understand the anger…. teribble decisions lead us here but they wernt all made by one idiot with a phn and a fake account.
Really really hope Maupay finds a goal somehow. He always does run himself into the ground despite all the negativity thrown at him, just so lacking in confidence
Well Rose these days you cant stop people commenting on social media. These people might be normal 9 to five but after a night on the ale he comes home and says stuff after a fight with his wife or any thing that might make him angry
Happens in life happen's too footballers too. The press will probably make a big deal of course cause its Everton. Maybe the league could fix var or dock us more points? Not worth discussing in my opinion. No not a nice thing too do but you know? Hope there no kenshite crap now. Sorry for swearing Rose just sick off more bad news with this circus. Least it was only a ' footballer' and not a normal regular person. Hes not the first wont be the last. Never know he migh ask too leave 😂 but of course its not his fault he's hopeless.
If discrimination has no place in the game, then picking players over other players is discrimination. Why not wait until the identity of the poster is known, are they mentally unwell, are they in this country, are they a child? Could have been anyone. Not saying it’s acceptable.
Of course, what you say is correct and you are right to draw attention to this. football players aren’t gods but at the same time deserve respect like everyone else. It takes only one idiot to make a stupid remark like this so I won’t be giving him any more time.
As for the match, it is easy to see why Maupay has come in for criticism, most of which is justified. After all he is an experienced striker and when one on one with the keeper twice from very close range should have scored. But his overall performance in a position that does not suit him was good. He was unfortunate not to score after the kick off in the 1st minute but his subsequent misses seem to be coming from someone low on confidence. Hardly surprising. I would really like to see him in his proper position behind the centre forward. And he wasn’t the only one who missed easy chances.
We simply should have been 2/3 goals up by the time they scored but we need to question why there was nobody at the far post. Blaming Paterson is just a cop out. A great performance by the players but lacking in that all important goal(s). So, despite being on top, despite creating chances and despite 9 attempts on goal, we ended up with nothing. So, the problem of scoring remains but the chances we created should give us loads of belief for the future.
Lewis Dobbin can make a change in a game but why Sean continues to give him only 10+ minutes is confusing. He made a difference because we suddenly had a threat on both flanks. I certainly don’t think playing Garner on the right is a good idea. Basically stifling a player who is much stronger either in midfield or central defence. All right, you can understand why Danjuma and Dobbin didn’t start but what he could have done was play Mykolenko left back and Young further up.
Problem is when you make a joke that courts that Seth McFarlane pushing-the-envelope style of humour. I can't judge because I did it a lot around close friends when I was younger. And a lot of the time, it has a shock value which makes people laugh. While I hesitate to sound like I'm defending ill-chosen tweets, it's worth remembering why people make jokes. They just want to make others smile most out of the time (& it probably never occurs to them that footballers would see the tweet). Definitely agree with the whole "If you wouldn't say it in front of your Mum…", that's a good rule to live by!

More needs to be done, Rose.
Keyboard warriors at it again.
On a side note; Harrison on loan is decent. I dunno when he will be back from injury, though.

Personal attacks are entirely unacceptable, but criticism of his play on the pitch is fair game. Simple as.
