Joel Klatt discussed the Georgia Bulldogs and the TCU Horned Frogs. Joel started off talking about how the Georgia defense shut down Quentin Johnston repeatedly throughout the game. He then shifted gears to discuss how the Georgia Bulldogs are the kings of college football and de-throned the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Do you see any team coming for this title next season?
No.
If they can sustain it for 3ish more years. Do people really live in the moment this hard? Alabama is still a dynasty and the finish line until further notice
Nope. Have you seen their schedule for next year? Absolutely pitiful. Should easily be undefeated until the conference championship. Only team they play of consequence is Tennessee. That’s it.
They’re just lucky the refs were helping them beat osu second string. Cause that should’ve been osus night
Enough. This is all fantasy. How many replay reversals have gone the the way of SEC and ACC in the CFP era? Have someone do that research Joel. OSU and UM both got bent over this year. OSU bent over against Clemson 2x a couple years ago. All on plays that were reviewed in the booth. It's a joke and unwatchable. What entity writes the checks to the officials? How does an ACC or SEC natty affect ESPN's add revenue? What would a non-ESPN natty do to ESPN's add revenue? Its all make believe.
imagine getting to play all of your tough games in georgia
It seems to me Saban was the face of those great Bama teams but Kirby was the architect. Since he left 1 Bama championship in the last 5 years Georgia 2. & nobody really cares the covid year
Georgia will be even better next season. There’s a very high chance that they could threepeat.
Yeah. Whatever team gets Marvin Harrison. UGA can’t cover him. All they could do is take a cheap shot to knock him out
While this team was the best team This year they Still wouldn’t have beat 2020 Bama or 2019 LSU
Georgia does in fact sit the proverbial throne. Virtually every heavy hitting program has had a shot. Bama had a chance for a tie breaker but lost to two teams Georgia utterly dismantled and missed the dance. You can’t be king from home during the playoff.
Great. Now we have to hear all these goofy southerners run their mouth for another year.
Right now today yes, starting next season no! It all starts over again and it has to be earned again!
No.. bama was jus in the chip last year and I was first out this year.. jus think it's disrespectful to compare 2 chips to 15 years of work..
Florida State 2013 is the only National Champ that won the title and did not play a Nick Saban BAMA team during the season at some point, Georgia missed out on BAMA this season but that is BAMAs fault not Georgias fault, not sure what my point is here maybe if BAMA has nothing to do with it next year and Georgia keeps rolling and winning SEC titles then in my opinion they have taken over for sure. Nope not a BAMA fan but def respect they way they have dominated.
It wasn’t a statement about how we run the sport as much as getting the bench some excellent game experience and making the most of the opportunities.
Lmaoooo i swear ya hate us. Georgia passed us hahaha yea ok. Congratulations on the season see you next season
You know, I'm just going to say it. I don't care if SEC fans get up here and gloat about how their conference is untouchable. This needs to be said.
"65-7" gives college football one of the most horrendous looks in the sport's history.
Events like this 65-7 demolition is enough to encourage sports fans to either stay away from watching college football, or if they were invested in it, walk away from it. That's the feeling I get from what Georgia just did. Can't blame them because they did their jobs. Georgia and the SEC get praised and exalted as being the best ever in college football. Big deal. So what? I say that because as the years go on, and the SEC's dominance is allowed to continue without question (or legal investigation for that matter…), it becomes increasingly easy for people like me to walk away and stop watching college football. And I say that because as long as we have corporate interests (ESPN, Disney, etc.) dictating terms, and a clueless and corrupt CFP Selection Committee changing the criteria as they go along, there will never be that real sense of trust in the sport again. As long as the high school recruiting circus continues as it has been, with unintelligent and greedy high school athletes instantly going to SEC schools (I dare say it), we will never truly have parity in the sport. Never.
So, having said all that, how should the NCAA, CFP, or any governing body overseeing college football expect the rest of the country to care about a product that is forever tilted in favor of one conference or region? It's no wonder why there were mumblings of the SEC teasing to go their own way, form their own super league and have their own tournament, because they're that confident they can run the sport with an iron fist. Also, this below quote by terpfan99 speaks for me too. So, the SEC can win thousands of "National Championship" trophies in this corrupt system, but eventually the rest of us will just do what we did in the Georgia/TCU game. Turn off the TV and walk away permanently.
"It's interesting that everyone's solution is always "keep teams like TCU out in the future" instead of "how can we make it so a handful of teams aren't hoarding all the best players." It explains why the wealth gap in this country keeps growing since we apparently support a handful of elites having all the wealth and power while keeping the little guys shut out."
Ohio State beat GEORGIA!!! Cheating by hurting someone is cheating !!!
Is it that hard to defend when you have 1 good reciever against 4-5 star dbs?
USC will beat georgia next year. You heard it here first and with Superman Heisman Caleb Williams @ the helm, USC will be unstoppable. The Trojans offense will be too much for georgia to handle. And USC will have a top five defense in the country next year. We Are SC, Go Trojans And Fight On To Victory ✌️✌️✌️☝️💪
Rather have the Georgia Dynasty than Alabama. I enjoy hearing tide fans give excuses and hear Saban whining and woulds, coulda talking.
Could have been 80 to 7 if Kirby hadn't called them off.
