I honestly dont rate varane think he's past his best him and dalot are gonna be the weak parts of our defense this year
Pavard gives United such a steady and sure hand at CB that is needed. United are really making clever signings. Even going after Amrabat is a great potential signing, too. All the praise should go to ETH. In twelve months, he has completely revamped and breathed new life into United.
I know it’s a long shot, but I hope we get Tapsoba. He’s gonna be an elite CB and has long term potential. He’s tactically versatile and calmness personified. Perfect for Ten Hag’s United.
I could sub to this guy if he’s a replacement for dalot at rb. I think awb’s one on one defending makes him extremely valuable, and if pavard does everything dalot does but better, seems like a no brainer. As far as center half cover, idk. On the surface I can’t really see what separates pavard from lindelof, especially considering ten hag’s emphasis on transitional football, which suits lindelof’s passing ability. (And pavard’s to be fair)

Yah tbh if Pavard came in he is a starting RB when we don't need the cover at CB. I could def see us starting Shaw, Martinez, Varane, Pavard and then around min 70 take Varane off and bring on Dalot or Wan Bissaka depending on the needs of the game
Long term Pavard is not the answer. I.e. Pavard is not the long term answer to Varane departure in 2 years.
So far I see 2. Shaw at CB And Chelsea's Levi. Unsure about Tolibo.

We are technically trying tkk on get a CB for 5th or 6th choice behind the iceman and Shaw at CB. I really think Evans can cover that position and the funds for a CB should be sent on a second no.9. We can enter the market for a CB for the future next year!
