Ramsdale is a modern day goal keeper but not elite or that great if anything he was arsenals first “modern day” goalkeeper signing it doesn’t mean we can’t easily upgrade or improve on him and I believe we have too he can’t even get one long kick right and he lacks concentration and struggles when he’s been put under pressure

Actually, he is right about Ramsdale. This I think will be more evident during this season.
Ramsdale’s long pass accuracy has been sloppy of late. I also think he’s not great at coming out to gather corners in front of goal. And he couldn’t stop a penalty to save his own life.
That said: Ramsdale is lightyear’s better than our last two keepers, and his strength remains his long ball & just overall ball distribution. Additionally, he’s also capable of making the occasional truly fantastic & unexpected save!

Very true. He’s not a ball playing goal keeper and this preseason has proved it. Maybe because he has no competition that he is reluctant to work on his weaknesses. Whenever pressured he was always kicking the ball out of play. Goal kicks, he likes to go long simply because when he plays short, chances are that he’ll be involved in the build up something he feels not comfortable with. Penalties nope. Truth to be told he can’t win us a major trophy.
Now Egal like Raya more than Ramsdale.
I believe Ramsdale is a good shot stopper and his distribution is not good enough for a title chasing team and he is no good on the ball. I have just seen a clip of Raya distribution and if it is accurate as to his real form I WANT HIM NOW! I do like Ramsdale even though he makes mistakes on the ball etc, he is likeable, great shot stopper and good on crosses. But i think it is all moot as i don't believe we can afford Raya. But I do love the distribution clip I saw on Raya, soooo good.
