If you factor in that Mase has been underpaid for the last 12-18 months and that he’ll not get a pay rise again on a single 6+1 year deal…£300k might be fair? compared to signing 2 new deals, at about £200k and then another possibly over £300k then add on all the loyalty and agent fees it probably doesn’t make a massive difference to a club that regularly spends over £50M on new players
I won't go for meslier but remember ramsdale used to let in a lot of goals before but now he's very frugal at arsenal so I won't judge meslier on that either
If you pay Mase is because of his durability which if you level with Reeces productivity then they're on par with 250.
Kinda looks like our new owners just really want a Jorge mendes player. I think they want to maintain a good relationship with the super agent after the failed CR7 move. Other than that, I feel Adeyemi is a good purchase. Kinda looks like the perfect Potterball players. Maybe even Sancho (unpopular opinion).
Mendy's issue is solely confidence.. and for his past exploits we bash him and continue to diminish his confidence as if he's worthless… Mendy has not been half as bad as kepa yet he's trampled on continuously. In my opinion he is better than kepa. It was his pass out to the wing that allowed mount to okay in havertz for our champions league final winning goal. It was his work between the posts that denied benzena on many occasions on our way to that finals. We need to stand by and offer support to our players when they're on a bad run because class is permanent, form whether good or bad is temporary
Mount wants to cash in on his hype, because the development has stalled. On production he doesn’t deserve it, but in production no one in the squad does.

Mount just doesn't warrant world class wages , yes I like him and yes I believe he's a good to very good player , but he's just not world class by any stretch and to pay a player of his level anything over £180,000 a week sets a dangerous president for the wage structure !!!! 🤷♂️
Mount is a drama queen, James is more consistent and signed without a fuss. He does not deserve more than what they offered, when he's consistently performing, achieved more than we can talk, he's deluded. Felix under an attacking manager is a dangerous signing!

This was the problem with signing Sterling as a marquee player ! He never was yes he's good but not world class ! I said it before we got him ! £300,000 a week is too much for Sterling , now we have other players like Mount already wanting the same as they see themselves as the same level or better , what about the new signings that come in who are genuinely better than Sterling and Mount what will they want !? We really need to be careful we don't end up like Barca !!!! 🤷♂️

Once again the evaluation of Mount are too extreme on either side. He’s not as good as his supporters make him out to be and not as bad as his detractors make him out to be. Good player but can and should be upgraded.

200k/wk is a fair valuation, Kane, Foden, Heung Min Son, Rashford are all on 200k/wk. Definitely overpaid for Sterling at 325k/wk That's on par with Mo Salah and Haaland!!
To be fair, we were paying Lukaku 300k, we are paying Sterling 300k. Fofana is on about 200k. Pulisic is on 150k. Mount may not deserve 300k, but he probably does deserve 200-250k. But on a side note, it's actually mental how much some of these players earn per week.
