FOX Sports’ lead college football analyst Joel Klatt unveils his Preseason Top 25 rankings for the upcoming College Football season. Klatt begins with the 2-time defending champion Georgia Bulldogs before revealing how much separation is between Michigan and Ohio State as well as their division rival Penn State. He gets into why he’s higher on Alabama than most before getting into how he stacks a potentially deep group of Playoff contenders including LSU, Florida State, Clemson, USC and another Pac-12 school which he thinks could be better than all of them. Klatt also walks through his process as he went through the annual struggle of deciding where to rank Texas before a season.

Alabama is gonna win it all this season. Every time there are QB concerns (going back to 09’) they win the National Championship. They’ll be more run heavy, be better on defense and win it all.

It's official, Joel Klatt is the best Sports Analyst in College Football. I would also like to see him as a member of ESPN's College GameDay Show but can't since he is under contract with Fox Sports. Wish he could be on both.

PSU diehard, I’m not unbiased, but that means I’ve paid close attention. Klatt’s right, what we’ve been missing has been downfield throwing. Taking the top off. When McSorley would load up and gun it deep to Godwin or Gesicki or Hamilton, the team was nearly unstoppable. Since then, we’d been predictable with Clifford. Limited. Allar is a different kind of QB, a much more dangerous one.
Keep this in mind: PSU had 3 total seniors on defense last year. Only 1 actually got drafted. That defense held OSU to just 16 points until midway through the 4th. Clifford committed like 4 turnovers to the same OSU defensive end who did absolutely nothing for the rest of the year. Was it a fluke? Yes, the Nittany Lions choked.
Penn State has it this year. Michigan is the real prize for them.
Doesn’t matter what the qb situation at Penn St is. Michigan bullied them, should have been 60-0. James Franklin is average. Most overrated next to Tennessee & Oklahoma
