An SUTV feature length documentary with Sheffield United and Senegal striker Iliman Ndiaye. Born in Rouen, France to a Senegalese father and French mother Iliman Ndiaye’s journey to the World Cup is anything but a traditional pathway. After his early childhood along the banks of the River Seine Iliman moved to Senegal with his family when he was 11, spending three years in his father’s birthplace before uprooting once again, this time the destination was London, England. From here Iliman’s journey had it’s fair share of ups and downs, Maverick’ documents his rise from non-league to the world’s biggest stage, The FIFA World Cup.
