Rather than focus on signing another CM I'd rather get a proper pacy left winger in. This allows us to drop Paqueta back into the 8 and put Benrahma as the central 10 where he shines.
Geo you are spot on, Alvarez is a proper CDM but he cannot start with Soucek it's not fair on on Paqueta. Fornals needs to start. Soucek needs to be on the bench.
Little bit of relief, finally some good news. Still alot left to do. Need a striker, another midfielder and another younger CB. Even with that done, we havent really got a backup LB if Cress leaves.

Ajax was never going to ask 50 for Alvarez, he fell in the catagory of players who served the club well, and in return Ajax doesnt asks the jackpot. Plus Ajax is making up to him for not letting him go last season, while they intianally gave the green light but retracted that after unexpectly more then 8 base players left the club. And this is why Ajax was prepared to let him go for a reasonable price this season.
