Aymeric Jean Louis Gérard Alphonse Laporte (born 27 May 1994) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League club Manchester City and the Spain national team. He previously played for Basconia and Athletic Bilbao. Primarily a centre-back, Laporte can also play as a left-back. A versatile defender, Laporte is known for his passing and is considered one of the best left-sided defenders of his generation.
