Bringing on Sterling against France after he'd been back to England after his house had been robbed was the moment I went from not being a massive fan of Southgate to hating him. Even if Sterling was a world class winger I'd have had questions given the circumstances, but Sterling had played that season as a bottom half PL winger/striker, if that, I know a lot of people lost their trust in Southgate earlier but that was the moment, beyond doubt, I knew he was deluded and clueless
What about Maguire cmon he's the biggest out of form player
And if they can’t perform, I hear there are blue pills for that

Choosing Phillips is understandable. It will be difficult to defend Southgate if he starts Maguire at the Euros with Ben White, Levi Colwill, Fikayo Tomori, and Lewis Dunk performing streets ahead of him for a number of years now.

This is the man who picked young lads to take penalties when they had no experience and it cost us. My blood pressure goes through the roof listening to this man. Here’s a trick Gareth seems to be missing. Even tried and tested players can be out of form. So pick players based on form, they generally do better for a team than a player out of form. Just a thought. And I’m available in case the FA don’t want another yes man
Wasting the potential of one of England's most promising young generations. This will be Southgate's legacy. People who support him are just as culpable and should not complain when england fail to win any major international trophies under his tenure.
His favourites don't need to get any game time for their own clubs, because this clown will always pick his favourites for major tournaments.

Gareth Southgate makes out that Kalvin Phillips and Raheem sterling can perform when they’ve literally not been doing that last season for their clubs. Players like Marcus rashford, James Maddison, fikayo tomori, Marc guehi, Ivan Toney and I would actually put nick pope and Aaron ramsdale there have been sensational and deserve to play for England but the reason they don’t is because Southgate has favourite and is stubborn to make switches and give others an opportunity.
