  1. a lot of parrying back into play, elite level strikers will be licking their lips at that in the PL, decent reflex saves those. hopefully the "bad habits" can be coached out of him here. all in all a decent back up that loves the club. welcome to Arsenal Matt 🔴

  2. Y’all talking like if runnarson is at all. Matt turner could work out his kinks he’s not terrible just needs work. He’s a back up keeper most likely early euros/ cup keeper

  3. Any vids where he makes a save and actually holds onto the ball? Not only does he parry the ball often but he keeps the ball in play!

  4. I’m sorry but Ramsdale is very suspect. This guy will immediately bench Ramsdale he got a lot to learn about composure.

  5. Cat quick, positionally sound and American so definitely a good shot stopper. Has to beef up work on his passing before he can test Ramsdale.
    He’s cold though good signing!

  6. Definitely a great option for UEL and FA/Carabao and whatnot. Hopefully we can present Gabriel Jesus and also get Lisandro Martinez from Ajax and Tielemans, and that'll make our project look a more considerable option to Raphinha
And that'll make this the ACTUAL best summer EVER

  7. Hope he is better than ramsdale.. ramsdale is a poor stopper and not so good playing from the back, also penalties don't get saved

  8. Matt Turner has a wonderfull Reflexes superb!!!! one but the handling must be very better when he will start the season in August As Arsenal Member in Arsenal Football Club….

  9. American here… Matt Turner's weaknesses are: Playing the ball with his feet and composure after making a critical error.

Hopefully, he gets better under Arsenal's tutelage. Quiet as it's kept, these reasons are the only reasons why he isn't our #1. As the footage shows, he is great at shot blocking, including penalties! You just cannot teach that.

As for the parried balls back into play, that is also a defense problem as well. Any side with respectable defenders will help keep their lines clear.

    Congrats, you have a gem!

  10. Overall some great saves and of great backup keeper. Think he needs to work on is handling but great potential shown for him. COYG

  11. such a poor odd signing, should of signed a Sam Johnstone or Nick Pope not someone from a league where former stars go to retire and collect a pay cheque

  12. Oh great. Some serious runaarson vibes about this guy. Seems to be a bit better in general but a lot of parrying shots in front of himself, and struggling to hold on to anything at all. Not sure why I'm seeing comments saying how good he looks because this video is very very similar to the runaarson one which had me questioning how the hell we decided to sign him. In the premier League or even Europa if you're pushing that many shots in front of yourself you're going to cause chaos for defenders and conceed a ton of goals. Can't believe we've gone ahead and signed another one of these keepers wtf

  13. from what I've seen he has weak wrists at times. He isn't particularly good at stopping shots that are low and he's been a very late bloomer in the sport, as he's not particularly strong to be at the level he's moving up to. Cheap signing to be a backup… hate to say it, but this could be a Runnarson signing if the time in Europa doesn't go well. One thing I like though, much like Ramsdale and unlike Leno, is that Turner comes out of goal for the ball… closes the space for the shooter. Leno was way too static, so it's always good to see a keeper get off his line and close the space. I just worry that at a higher level, he won't be able to cope with better skilled players.
