just hoping this addition wont affected progression yao in vancouver
Adekugbe stayed in Turkey this year (on loan with Galatasaray) because he was impacted by the earthquake. He wanted to stay in Turkey to do whatever he could to be a part of 'the solution' and rebuild. His interest in staying in Turkey was obviously emotional, he was connected to the people and would have been deeply moved by magnitude and devastation of that event back in February. However, his move to the Whitecaps was a good move since his time there as a footballer was limited. With Laryea in the mix, those two give the Whitecaps a significant 'technical' boost and they'll be able to make an immediate impact because they are both dynamic players. I'm sad to see Laryea leave Toronto FC, but I feel that 'he knows' TFC management disrespected him. It makes sense that he moves on, it just hurts he's moving to the Whitecaps… LOL… Best regards and wishes to Laryea and Adekugbe in Vancouver. The supporters will love RIchie… He'll make Gino Odjick shine down from heaven… And Josh/ Alex, if you guys can, you should do a small segment on the BC soccer transformation of the Varsity Eagles to Nautsa'mawt FC- that's an important story. It could be helpful if you guys can give us a report of this important and significant "transformation" of a soccer club at a time when reconciliation, healing, and inclusion for BC's indigenous people is long overdue… I want to learn more about the connection between Pacific FC and Nautsawa'mawt as their new BC League One affiliate…
I want to see Laryea back to Forest
When watching the TFC game highlights and seeing how much they are struggling there was hope that the Caps could get Laryea. Very happy.
Great move for Vancouver and the MLS to get 2 really good domestic players. However, terrible news for the Canadian soccer when 2 guys from your main squad are playing in the MLS. This shows Canada has a long way to go. Laryea started in Nations League game too so you want your top guys in the top 10 leagues at least.
I'm hoping they can create some buzz for the Whitecaps market-wise. Averaging under 20,000 attendance per game at BC Place is embarrassing.
