Great video but I do take a little issue with the characterization of Steffen’s time at ‘Boro. For goals conceded he’s middle of the pack but their GD was 3rd in the league—the concession of goals is more a function of their play style. ‘Boro wanted to sign him at the end of the season but couldn’t afford the 12 mill City wanted. To say he needs to come back to MLS is maybe a tad harsh.
Musah is just such a nice guy. Similar to Josh Sargent. I think sometimes that hurts our players in how aggressive they play. The good thing is Musah will have Pulisic to encourage him.

With Dest he probably feels total pressure at Barcelona. If you know a coach doesn't like you it's hard to feel confident when you go out and play. When he plays with the US he plays confident. What do you think about Dest to MLS? Maybe that is what he needs right now.
DLT worries me. Even though he is playing in La Liga, he is weak defensively. He often passes back or sideways. Musah plays better for the US, DLT has not played as outstanding for us.

While I don't think it's this bad (YET), but Dest is starting to remind me a little of Adu. All the talent in the world, but can't seem to put it together in his clubs. If Dest does end up in MLS it'll almost solidify this comparison.

The biggest issue I see with this USWNT is that in the past they were a cohesive unit that KNEW one another and could play with absolute confidence that they knew exactly what runs one another were going to make, where to press, where to back off, and so forth. THIS USWNT seems more like they are a collection of individuals who are still attempting to learn one another. However, the vast majority of this team have never played in a world cup before, and some of them have very few caps with the senior team so that is somewhat to be expected. There are some definite bright spots but Vladko is also holding them back (he is too similar to GGG, no subs, claims to have dominated a game where they were massively outplayed in the first half and barely walked out with a draw). They can still absolutely grow into the tournament and make a very deep run or even pull off the win but it will take a LOT.
