I absolutely respect Owen Hargreaves. Having listened to Rory and the other guy Hugh? and many others take shots at Arsenal over the Havertz signing, Owen well and truly put them in their places. They looked like little boys in that conversation. Owen has no bias in him unlike 90 percent of talksport pundits. They're so disingenuous and salty it's laughable.
12:40 – Arsenal will be a huge problem for everyone. Pundits are sleeping on them as usual. Hargreaves is good. They should win the league this season given Manchester City’s questionable transfer deals.
Owen Hargreaves got his points over about Bayern, and the city of Munich in general really well.
Too many pundits and players have a backward, blinkered about the career and lifestyle options available outside Britain's shores:
Londonistan – over-priced, rancid dump
Manchester – a gloomy, dreary city with the junkie dregs everywhere

The only english club i would put next to Bayern if it comes to international legacy is Liverpool. By the way a lot of germans of all generations respect them and do like them – not only because of Klopp, because of their History and all this magic nights at Anfield. For me Bayern (i dont like them – like most germans) are one of the few elite clubs in world football. Real Madrid –> Number 1 and then comes Bayern, Liverpool and Milan!
The reason the PL is the most attractive league in the world is pretty simple – your clubs sold their soul to foreign and local investors. Honestly speaking – you could support and cheer for MC Donalds it wouldn't be different….Fans in Germany don't want that for now – that's why the Bundesliga is generating less money. If you are fine with that – okay. Your decision. But don't cry if your atmosphere is the worst in Europe, stadiums filled with tourists and the old traditional englisch lad can't afford tickets anymore. That's the price.

He's right (the other guy, not Hargreaves). Bayern are not bigger than Man Utd or Liverpool, & probably not even bigger than Arsenal (although more successful internationally), and are financially poorer than the top 8-10 clubs in the Premier League. Bayern only matter in Germany and nowhere else.
When you include environment and lifestyle Bayern is an unbelievable club, especially for a player with a young family. Fair play to Owen for putting the record straight. So bored of hearing second rate pundits (Roy / Rory?) flogging the 'standard's' narrative. Wake up lad! there's a world outside of London 😀
